How would you spec your 992 GTS?

Sorry to disagree but the 0-100 is incorrect, a 992 GT3 will do 0-100 in 6.5 and a 1/4 mile in 10.8 at 128.4 mph, the GTS does a 1/4 mile in 10.9 at 128mph, so close but 1.5 secs slower to a 100 mph. Doesn’t make sense. It won’t be as quick but closer than that to 100 mph. It even has the Carrera S at 7.2 to 100 mph. Sappy911 said:

What’s your views on leaving out rear wheel steer? I like the spec but I would also add red seat belts to tie it all together.
ive had rear wheel steer on my 991.2 GTS for 3 years, its the best option you'll pick, its a must IMO, even if its just for the turning circle, which makes parking a breeze, its so good, but mainly for the cornering ability.Fatherdougal said:
This thread is giving me an itch and I wondered if one of you kind people who have ordered could help with a couple of questions?
1. I have a 991.2 GTS currently and adore the sound it makes. Concern is that with more regulations the 992 will be quieter and have less aural theatre. Anybody driven both a 991.2 GTS and 992 GTS that could comment on difference on sound?
2. Is related, as obviously if I could get a test drive I could compare. My local OPC doesn’t have one to test drive - any recommendations of an OPC that does or is everybody ordering without a test drive?
Many thanks for your help in getting me to spend lots of money… ??
noise is not a disappointment I found, its a different noise for sure, and less pops and bangs, although I am comparing a 3 year old car to a 2 week old one, they get louder with age.1. No dealers have them for demo I dont think, my dealer couldn't even offer me a regular 911 to test drive. Once you place the order though, you get a half day at the porsche experience centre at Silverstone, and I got to drive the GTS there as soon as it came in. Its bloody amazing!

As to the rev counter, lose the colour and keep the Silver Grey seat belts or keep the red rev counter and make the seat belts red also?
Lastly: Agate Grey vs GT Silver? I like both, just think the Grey hides the black on the bumpers better.
Thanks in advance

I'd say with things that are purely aesthetic, go with what you feel is right. No one can advise you on colour, choice of wheels, Leather vs race-tex etc. Id go to the OPC or maybe the PEC (after you,ve placed your deposit) to help you help make up your mind. Personally the choices i have made are to make me feel better e.g. I went for Leather over racetex as i preferred the former when i tried it out. Obviously if you dont intend on keeping the car for long other factors could come into play...but spec the car for you, not the next rider! http://www.porsche-code.com/PNPQ1DT4

I would add red to the both the dial and chrono clock and seat belt. It will match with the calipers and give it a nice splash of colour to make it feel a little special. I think you are now in the zone of personal preference....As to the rev counter, lose the colour and keep the Silver Grey seat belts or keep the red rev counter and make the seat belts red also?

I have PTS for the next set of allocations which is June delivery (the next set of slots they are offering PTS on)
Confirmed with my OPC PTS isn't available until September build, for me in the UK.I ordered in October, tied the spec down yesterday, and have a late March delivery.
I am C2GTS Cabrio Manual, here's the spec: Oh wheels are going to be silver, done by Porsche, it was an option if I asked and costs ~£500
http://www.porsche-code.com/PNB7BVX1
Wanted a green, like Porsche Racing Green Metallic, but literally the only option unless I want to delay until September is to take a standard colour. Gentian does look great, love the truffle interior. Also note, the steering wheel and gear knon/gaitor should be in brown, seems there is a glitch in the configurator!

your OPC is wrong (or telling you what they want you to hear), the factory has PTS slots in May build for GTS, I have one, and its a C2GTS Cabriolet too!, I had to delay my Feb build until May (and lock in the spec pre Christmas), but its definitely confirmed by Porsche planning.I ordered in October, tied the spec down yesterday, and have a late March delivery.

They might be reserving a May build car for someone else and so then offering you the next one in September (after the summer shutdown), but telling you the next slot is September. After the summer break will be a 2023 spec car (possibly speed limiters of some sort for the new regulations) and probably another price increase too though, so I'd take a 2022 car.

exactly this, everyone is different and are to give you different answers to an aesthetics question.same with some options like front lift really, it entirely depends on where you live, what sorts of places you take the car and whether its a daily driver as to whether you would benefit from front lift, nobody can you advise you otherwise, they are basing it on their usage.
id been told to not spec PDCC as its not needed as the car isnt long enough..... both from people on forums and at the PEC. I didn't spec it on my current car, but then the GTS I drove at Silverstone recently had it, and I noticed how much more compliant the ride was with it on out on the roads with the new GTS suspension. It was also amazing on track, the car was so much more level through the corners (I compared to a car without on the same course), but for me, I won't be tracking it, so that didn't really matter. But I was worried about the ride with the new lowered GTS suspension, so ive gone for it, as iMO it improved the ride quality, and mine is going to be a daily driver.

You seem to be very confident with your intel. Do you know how often allocations come out and when we can expect the next batch coming through? I have a C2 GTS Coupe on order. Thats handy to know as I was contemplating adding PDCC to lift and rear steer as I am also worried about the ride with the lowered suspension. But most if not all the people I spoke to said it was great on track but not needed on a road car. I think I will try a car with it and without at PEC if I can and then decide as I am not likely to get one until Q4 but happy to wait till Feb/ March next year as I really want PTS. I do track GT4 as a novice and love it and I can see me taking the GTS on the track and it may help make look a better driver than I am lol. same with some options like front lift really, it entirely depends on where you live, what sorts of places you take the car and whether its a daily driver as to whether you would benefit from front lift, nobody can you advise you otherwise, they are basing it on their usage.

Did you get a chance to try a car with and without PDCC ?
