Question for everyone. Are those people saying 2023 delivery for new orders in the USA? Im in the UK, ordered in October, and have a late March delivery...... What are people finding, when did you order, whats your delivery date?

Is factory pickup an option again?

My request for European delivery was accepted subject to Porsche confirming the new arrangements. Whike it’s not guaranteed it appears as if it will restart soon.

My car is a USA order. The process in the USA is the dealer is given an allocation in a given month as slots are released and allocated. My build late April. The other build my dealer had was for March build. They don’t expect any further allocations for MY 22 cars.

Brown is the best interior. Really, it's what I've specc'd. Leather ruffling and crayon stiching, Gentian blue, looks incredible. Black is so dull. I would know, just sold my black/black 997.1.....

Wouldn't it be boring if we all wanted the same spec.....

More importantly, what the actual f*** is that video on that autotrader listing all about, 1990s special pop effects, wtaf.
It would be boring! And I quite like the differing design choices people are making. Great to see it pan out. I hope we move away from the notion of an interior trim defining the car too. After all a 911, to me is about how it goes around a corner at speed like not much else, not a polyester based trim with a fancy name.

I do have an issue with how there are no cost leather options with contrasting stitching with the S but not the GTS. If we wanted leather we a forced to pay a premium! Bonkers.

A GTS with the wheels diamond cut. GTS interior pack. Aluminium shifter.

Wheels look great, no idea what is being said!

I’ve spec’d that shifter as think it’s a lot better than the standard one.

I also added the leather bound steering column and power steering plus to my order yesterday.

Not sure about the diamond cut alloys. Would have to see some in the flesh.

Allocation? Or just the 5k deposit if you don’t mind me asking. I switched my S to GTS early Dec after the OPC told me that a GTS lead time may be sooner than an S.

My S deposit was back in June! Should have ordered a GTS straight of the bat… lesson learnt.

Just 5k paid today. About 12 months to wait. Still have my RS4 and Atom to enjoy until then. No hardship.

Sadly I’m not in such a fortunate position. I do constantly look on auto trader for used cars as a gap fill… a v12 DB11 for 6 months does sound tempting… I have just watched No Time To Die so that’s a new itch for me.

Cheers. An Aston would be a great stop gap. Love them. The noise would be amazing.

I think my dealer felt sorry for me, he's given me a 71 plate Targa 4S for the whole weekend, picked it up this morning and return it on Monday afternoon. Its Shark Blue with Black highlights. Car is an absolute weapon, so can only imagine what the GTS will be like! Did a Launch Control, my 10 year old daughter couldn't stop giggling, the wife was lost for words lol. Covered circa 300 miles in it today, and have some routes planned for tomorrow and Monday too. Don't think I'm going to want to hand it back. Nice gesture from my dealer though which I appreciate as I didn't even ask.

Stunning. Enough said. But I do like the brighter colours. Would love to hear your views on 911 experiences after a weekend running one.

Got a wonderful call from the OPC today to say that someone dropped out and I now have an allocation / build slot and delivery in may on a coupe. Pressure is now fully on to decide on spec….. I originally wanted an S but went down the GTS route as delivery times were quicker. I feel that the GTS spec is less flexible because you are driven towards centre locks and GTS interior packs. I do prefer leather seats and RS Spyder wheels! Would those items truly make it a less desirable car if I decided to move it on? Has anyone seen gentian blue with the centre lock wheels? Thanks!!

No, buy the spec you want.

I prefer GTS interior and centre lock wheels. But leather and RS wheels would not detract me if I was buying a used GTS.
