I spoke to my OPC last week, yes, 992T likely to be Nov 21 announcement, with delivery mid-2022 onwards. This what they have been told by Porsche. Likely £90-95k car + extras. The only thing that could put it back is the continuing global supply issues. Normal Carreras are into early 2023 to make space for GT and GTS cars.

I've got a deposit on a 3.5 manual Emira, and we've had a tentative speculative 992-T deposit conversation. Depends which one rocks up first I guess. Probably the T.

Yellow, Manual, T interior (yellow bits), folding mirrors, PCM delete, lightweight glass, rear seat delete. May or may not go Aerokit, depending on its availability on the model.

Edited to add: if no Aero, then maybe CF roof for a bit of bling.

The used values are still shooting up at the moment.

Some cars are getting close to their original retail price.

But not all some have been on the market quite a while now and some prices have been reduced recently, can’t understand why the low miles red one hasn’t sold?
Probably soften more over winter and when the 992 shows up.
AV185 the last true narrow bodied 911 has to be the na 997.2 and not a turbo 7 speed, electric steering one.
Personally quiet like the 991.2 but I would rather a 997.2 for half the money

The 991.2 T was the last restricted run narrow bodied (rear track) Carrera simply because there was no option to spec a narrower body on any model 992.

Yep, I'm waiting for a 'basic' 911 but could have had a GTS earlier.

What delivery time have they quoted you for the base 992?

Delivery times are dependent on how many people have an order or deposit down at your OPC not just factory production. I suggest ringing around other OPC to see if you can get an earlier slot. Trouble is that limited numbers are being built this year so orders placed this year still haven’t been delivered and you are back of a long que. Must manufacturers are quoting 6 months for any new models that are none run of the mill cars . That’s why the used market is so inflated!!!

I’m wanting to use my local dealer for various reasons. Delivery is Q4. I could have had Q2 for a GTS or even longer for an S.

Sure other places might be quicker but how many calls before you get a meaningful improvement and how far away from home for pick up? I want to buy from where it will be serviced and, possibly, buy another one after and/or an SUV to add to it later on so the relationship matters to me.

Spoke to my local dealer to find out a delivery timeline for my c2 and he talked of this and said they were thinking that some c2 allocation would be lost to these.

That happened with my 991.2 C2. The allocation went on 911T’s so I ended up waiting a year for the base model. Worth the wait though.

I’m waiting for a Carrera and recently got my driving invite a fair while after placing a deposit so would also be interested in the answer to this.

Doesn’t make sense… I’ve spoken to a few OPC’s about a T and only one asked for a deposit, when I asked then if that meant that they knew for sure there was a car and I’d get an order the response was very noncommittal and “as soon as it’s announced, you’ll be one of the first”.
Every other OPC has said “ there’s no car announced, we can’t hold a deposit without an order, so the best we can do is take an LOI and as soon as we know we can place an order we’ll contact you for a deposit and spec”

Sounds like your OPC may have popped your deposit against “a car” with a view to swapping to a T when it’s announced, hence triggering the PEC invite.

This is exactly what they have done in my case, and I'll retrieve it in the spring if one doesn't look forthcoming

My PEC invite specified the car I ordered so I presume others’ have too.

Interesting.. I'm about to put a deposit down on a notional T also. Similarly I was asked to send a spec on a current model (in my case I went for a standard Carrera) along with £5K to get near the front of the queue for a T... Although it's the T I want I would be very happy with the Carrera I settled on (even though it's a PDK and I'd be having a manual T).. Oddly it's a bit luxxed up and quite a long way from stripped-back T spec smilehttp://www.porsche-code.com/PN55WAH1
