Thanks for the kind comment. I could have done with that picture before hand as a guide! I did find some online though which was helpful and agree, looks so much better.

Sorry for the noddy question but did you have to specify you wanted it like that?

Car looks lovely BTW, I think a 911 is one of only a few cars that I would be really happy to have it in yellow. What spec is yours?
Many thanks. Yes, I specified that when the car was new - just checked and order code 911 (yes, really!) was for a 911 badge. Mine is a 2018 Carrera T. Fairly simple spec with T interior pack, upgraded headlights, Bose, parking sensors, cruise control, auto wipers and a couple of other bits and bats. Yours looks great in white. 👍

And it's obvious which is the better looking car. thumbup
Thanks, and whilst I’m biased I like both to be honest.

Clearly the new car instantly ages my car, and I can see the appeal however I’m content with the proportions of mine more than the 992.

I’d say my thoughts around base models are less contrasting but the likes of the Turbo S, GT3 etc I much prefer the 991.2 equivalents.

I’m collecting my, new to me, 991.2 tomorrow.
I promised myself a nice 60th birthday present, so I bought a V8 Vantage, which was a false start as I just could not get on with the auto gearbox. So sold it along with my 997.
I tested a 992 as 2S was within my price range, I like the outside, but felt the interior was rather plasticky, my budget for optional leather etc was nil. Anyway they could not promise delivery before my next birthday & that was whole point of getting it.
Then I found this nicely spec’d C4S in Miami Blue & just had to have it.

Great choice. You won’t regret it!

I think the LSD manufacturers don’t want to take the responsibility of calling it a bolt on modification. In reality it was very close to that and within the scope of a good 911 specialist.

Also stumbled across a 992 base the other day. I rolled up next to it for a couple of comparison pics

I would 2nd that. The optional sports design bumper does improve the front of the 992, but at the expense of ground clearance.

Lol, I still don’t actually know which you’re referring to!

As mentioned, I like them both but for different reasons. Love the wide ass of new model and the refreshed face. However overall I prefer the general proportions of mine, and I prefer the exhaust layout too.

Cheers

Oh fantastic. Are you travelling up to Ninemeister?
It’s a fantastic upgrade and there’s so much potential in the 991.2 platform to be unlocked.

Well just over 3 months in and the car is a beauty.

It’ll soon need some new boots but I’ll definitely be sticking with the Cup 2’s, they are very impressive. The combo of this car in this climate, really makes the most of them.

No plans for the car other than keeping it clean and enjoying it. It wants for nothing (other than the aforementioned tyres).

I thought my old C63 507 was going to be hard to match and whilst that had more drama and excitement it wasn’t as polished as the porker is. Most situations, it over delivers. Not bad for a base car. I must say, a few 991.1 GTS’s and GT3’s have caught my eyes though.

Now it’s winter and the weather is perfect, I’ve had time for some serious buffing. White looks clean in most photos but the reality can be quite different. All said, I was happy with how it came out.
