Where are all the 997.1 GT3s
Discussion
It's had a fairly sizeable front end smash, resulting in both air bags being deployed and the chassis was supposed to have been bent. Any inspection should pick up on the new dash, steering wheel, windscreen, bumper and various bits of front suspension. In addition, which I have less certainty off, it had an unknown amount of damage repaired earlier in it's life, ~2015 from memory, the gap in the service history indicates roughly when and given the duration of time spent off the road was not likely trivial. Both repaired off the books so it appears as a clean car.

The market certainly seems to have slowed from the frenzy of several months ago. The white, 4 owner, low mileage, 997.1 Clubsport at JZM seems to have hung around for a while, is this a known car?
It’s a interesting one. It’s very low mileage and coming from JZM it’ll be a great example but it’s still what 25k over original list ?

Question, do you think Synter know about the cars history? Surely when it was traded into Ferrari they would have run a good rule over it no? Pretty shameful if they do.
They certainly know about the event I described as it happened on their watch. In short, the car was crashed 2 hours before it was due to be sold.RC1 said:
thats one for trading standards until sold then its fraud once sold right?
Why? The advert doesn't say it's never been crashed. There's loads of cars driving around which have been repaired under insurance or outside insurance which appear clean under HPI checks and people are none the wiser. 51monW said:

Yes it’s known. It was on collecting cars (with blue decals all down and blue wheels)It’s had a lot of work to put it back to standard including new rear carpets. Had floors drilled, front washer panel drilled etc for lines for fire extinguishers.
Also had absolute bugger all service history with it. And it’s repeatedly been sold since selling from its first owner on collecting cars. Has like 5 owners now in the space of a year and a half?

So that explains why the steering wheel looks odd compared to when I saw it last year and why it disappeared and reappeared again…IbanezDan said:

looked a dog on CC. The dealer now selling it must know this information, shame on them.

JZM don’t usually sell cars with a scant history so I’m surprised by this .
They did the remedial work on it to put back to stock. I don’t think it’s a bad car, it just hasn’t got a stack of history behind it and the price is reflected. They told me when I was looking that it had a new front bumper too when I asked about accident damage so assume some minor front end work had been done. But that isn’t a surprise for a GT3 that was primarily used as a track toy throughout its life.

Like other have mentioned its clearly been passed around since it was sold at auction. You would be gutted buying that car from for strong money and then finding out it’s not really a nice loved original example as it’s made out to be.
Goes to show some dealers are clearly more interested in their 5k SOR commission.
