Yep...

Heard that the current owner was saying JZM were taking it to sell... now its back to CC. I wonder if the seat belts where they are positioned is hiding the hole in the seat below the headrest or if it's been sorted. Looked like a simple fix, probably just removing the front headrest cover and tucking it back in. Minor issue.

I suspect CC's 'Deal Now' section is going to be busy...

I concur, though would suspect it'll sell if the reserve is fair.

Sold previously for 96/96.5? Plus fees made it 102K car needing some work. Seemed fair. Maybe it'll go slightly over now given the cheapest gen2 is 108k and isn't a club sport.

Markets dropping, to be expected I guess.

I guess we will slowly start to see a GT car self off as certain owners look to cash out.

To be fair, if people read through the comments section it left a lot to be desired… people picked up on the holes in the seat - no picture provided. No pre inspection done, missed a service and not stamped in the book. Faulty suspension. Yet with fees still would have been close to 100k though reserve not met. Doesn’t seem like a well kept example to me.

And the final bids were still in with traders… saw targa florio bidding up until the high 80’s so they must have seen some value in it after fees and making any necessary repairs….

It will be interesting what the seller does now with it after it’s not sold on autotrader or CC.

Maybe will hold onto it for the winter and try again in spring.

Looks like there’s another red one coming soon. Rusty cills though, perhaps from track use?

They all get a bit of gravel rash there.

Well I’ve had three of these and none of them had gravel rash like that!

Worth noting as the previous owner of the unsold one, the "missing" service is the last minute one at Porsche Centre Brooklands by Ashgood before I bought it contactless during Covid. It's clearly stated in the archive CC sold advert.

I think perhaps the seller doesn't quite know the market. As well as clearing up the "missing" service, he should really have spent the extra keeping full OPC service history in my opinion. He should have known people would have wanted to see a rev report, and if he contacted me he could have had mine at least (exemplary).

It deserved to sell, but as per the last 6 months its been for sale, not very well marketed. I think the real issue is that the next owner would be the 11th, but given it does indeed have a fully documented history, I do think people on here do I have knack of over-scrutinising, as it is a fantastic car.

yes

The continual shock that a used car is not a new one.

I whole heartedly agree with everything you’ve written here.

I got phoned shortly after by CC asking if I was still in the market. As a guide price, it’s just under the lowest current priced GT3 on the market, which I don’t think is a bad deal at all. Lot of car for the money and a proper GT3. Under half the price of a current 992…

The suspension issue is common on a 997 and at least on this car it does go down. They’re actually usually cheap ish to fix as long as the struts themselves aren’t faulty. That’s if you’re that bothered about it working….

Mine had minor gravel rash here at over double the mileage, so it's far worse than average. The more concerning thing is the thought process of an owner happily letting sills rust out on a 100k car. Would probably cost less than £500 to resolve on both sides whilst its surface deep......

All fair points. And Scottish single track roads are bad for road rash, so not necessary just from track days.

Looks like a nice car still and it wouldn’t put me off from buying. I like buckets with no cage, great for European touring. And guards red looks great!

This looks cheap for the mileage and spec...sign of the market crashing or are there hidden dangers with this one?

I certainly wouldn’t trust the dealer but might still be a good car. Just have a PPI.

£199 admin fees on a £80k car is a joke though!

It certainly used to be a good car, I had it from new for 3 years I think.
I believe it was also sold a few years ago by Porsche Bristol.
