Where are all the 997.1 GT3s
Discussion
To think not long ago this would have been a close to 90k car although theres a few things suggesting this one hasnt been the garage queen that many are (including mine sadly)

Sign of the times. When I sold my gt4 i considered a 991.2 gt3, these were £155k at the time, same cars can be had now for 135k to 140k. https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202210241...
Over a longer period i think the 997 gt3 is a safe place for your money mind. Cracking platform the 997.
Difficult to find a nice 997 gt3 for sale nowadays, many have a history with a very high number of owners.
High owners, per se, is not an issue. If you think of the cadence of new GT3 and RS products, people will churn new cars to get the latest. The secondhand buyers do likewise one tier down. Many ‘fun’ cars are used very little and swapped frequently on a whim.
The key bit is the service records and, this far out, that does not just mean ticking the OEM service schedules. Lots of stuff (e.g. brake lines, coolant hoses) over and above needs to have been done.

Multiple owners are nearly always seen as a negative, but in reality, most new owners give their new car all the treatment it needs, so there is the chance that a 5 owner car has had much more love and issues fixed (5 times) than a 1 or 2 owner car where they may have left issues alone. Ofcourse, every car is different to the next, and the opposite is probable that the car has been sold to multiple owners over time, they've pushed the car from cold and then sold it on when they're bored without giving it any love.

Any thoughts? going to look at it this week and the comfort spec is required, but It seems it has been up for sale for a while and wondered if there was any reason for that.

Think it's lovely, sunroof is ultra-rare and the colour would make it stand out versus the sea of white and red examples (like mine ). Has the all-important Chrono Plus and Sound Package plus the PCCM which is really worthwhile. Mileage about right so you wouldn't hammer the value actually driving it.
Value is subjective, it's high-priced I suppose but it hasn't been up for sale that long compared to some others. These cars don't tend to fly off the shelf anyway, but if it were me and it was in budget i'd be very keen. They really are magnificent cars.

Oddly that car has been for sale for a very very long time.Any thoughts? going to look at it this week and the comfort spec is required, but It seems it has been up for sale for a while and wondered if there was any reason for that.
My guess is either the price doesn’t reflect its condition or it has an interesting past.
Colour was the immediate attraction, love Cobalt and the sunroof is a rather surprising addition.
It seems to be a high 70's car rather than a Clubsport price, the worry was how long it had been up for sale thus having a chequered past as it is a 3 hour each way trip to view!
Will see it tomorrow and report back.

I seem to remember there was a blue one that sat for a while on the Sytner platform. Was that the same?
They look spectacular in blue TBH. If it's a straight car then it's a lovely spec for a road/touring car.
definitely a different car - oddly the sytner one sold but had a very bad history...They look spectacular in blue TBH. If it's a straight car then it's a lovely spec for a road/touring car.

Well, Shropshire is a nice place for a trip, if nothing else.It seems to be a high 70's car rather than a Clubsport price, the worry was how long it had been up for sale thus having a chequered past as it is a 3 hour each way trip to view!

FWIW, having had a sunroof on a 996 turbo, I really liked it. If you are after a comfort spec GT3 because you're doing road trips etc. (rather than track) then a sunroof is a nice addition IMHO. On a sunny day, with the roof open, you get a very nice compromise version of open top motoring.
Another 997.1 GT3 with a sunroof - very nice condition car (as always the case with Paragon), sold within a week of going up on the website. seems a strong market for these cars still.
