Was thinking of selling eary this year , but i may just store it for when i pop back now and then.
But what would you replace it with? Or what would you do with the £70/80k?

Don’t sell!

I’m really liking these green liquid wraps. Does anyone know the rough cost to have it done? And does it involve removing all the panels off the car?

ive been wrestling with this as my paintwork is too imperfect for ppf so i too have been thinking about the full wrap option in lieu of partial ppf

I was quoted circa £5k to do it on my CSL. No panels need to be removed. That was from https://www.logicvpc.com/ who did the green 991 Speedster.

I think Topaz and Lichfield both offer it, but suspect they may charge more.

I must admit the Oak Green car at JZM looks stunning, but knowing some of the potential paint issues these cars can suffer, I'd rather start with a non-coated car of known paint condition, rather than take pot luck with what lies beneath.

The problem with liquid wraps is that if you get stone chips the original paint colour comes through. Look at Chris Harris’s video on his Touring….he chose a Racing Yellow car to put a Speed Yellow wrap on to avoid this. I think the cost is closer to £10k, I asked Lichfield about a year ago, £8k plus VAT then.

Yes, I think you’d almost want to PPF it too, and the costs then get silly! Logic VPC prices are much more sensible than Litchfield or Topaz, but it’s still a chunk of cash.

Is this the car that recently sold on CC for £80,030 (inc. fees)?

In sane price for a comfort 997GT3, worlds gone mad

Just checked. It's the CC car.

253 C16 cars, and all being firmly hung-onto right now...so it's not exactly a buyers market.

The green JZM car has been reserved as well. I wonder how close to the £92k asking price it went for !

Nice 997 gt3 cars are very hard to find, I bid on a few before covid and if I’m honest didn’t even get close. Back then nice low miles CS car would of been 75k.

The last really nice car I saw for sale was the red CS at top 555 a number of years ago.

Is the 997.1 not one of the only GT3s which are still usually below list? Bargain, if that is the case!

My guess is 70-80, and then up for retail somewhere after couple weeks at 85+ bandit
Wow. Looks like I underestimated the mark up by quite a bit if it’s the same one up at £95k!

Well they only make the markup once its actually sold.

Yes true, I was just commenting on what the markup would be, not whether it would be achievable or not biggrin

So the cost was 75+fees (82?) and now for sale at 95?

Fees were 6% (inclusive of VAT), so by my reckoning the total would have been £80,030 (75,500 + 4530)

Seems some odd bidding on this already.

Potential buyer asks:

"Hi Matt, You beat me to this back in July! Can you tell me why you are selling so soon? Did you have an inspection done prior to purchase? In which case do you have the last rev range report and vehicle condition report? Kind regards Dan
(by IbanezDan 2 hours ago)"

They person who asked doesn't wait for an answer and bids £65k, £10k over the current bid.

Why wouldn't you wait for a reply to the question if you were worried about why a previous buyer was selling so quickly? And why bid over the asking by so much?

Anyone know where it was sold and for how much in July?
That was me sorry! I wanted the buyer to know I was serious. Unfortunately didn't win it, it went for the max I would have wanted to pay and being an auction and not being able to have an inspection done put me off. The previous seller of the car was the 2nd owner and I was offered it back in July for 77k. Unfortunately I wasn't in the position then to push go and lost out. Was nice in silver...
