Ordered my 992 GTS 16months ago, will finally collect it tomorrow.
That is awesome, @Bossgad, well done for waiting, hopefully you will enjoy twice as much! Are you willing to share (1) order date, (2) allocation date, and (3) delivery date? For our 911 Order to Delivery thread
Ordered 992 basic model 4 in July 2021. Waited patiently for 6 months then bought a used one. Sold it back in Jan when I was told my new car came off the assembly line on 12 Jan 2023. Even got photos but now I'm beginning to doubt them. Was told car would arrive early Feb so decided to wait until1/3 before registering it. Last week was told its still at Emden waiting to be shipped. Should I be suspicious? Anyone else suffering from Emden Blues?
Don’t give up hope @Softcentre. Mine came off the production line in August/September last year and was sat at Emden for weeks. Turned out it and other 992’s had bits still to be fitted - simple things but items which needed to be fitted before being allowed to be shipped to the UK. This took a while. Even if this isn’t the issue cars can be sat at Emden for a few weeks. I got my 992 C4S in early November after ordering in Feb 21.. it will only be a few more weeks…

@Softcentre, hopefully your car is on the next boat across the moat!Pivo said:
Today marks 70-weeks since I placed order for 911 Carrera S.
I was 4th in the queue then and I am 4th in the queue now.
I suspect when it finally arrives it will be 992.2 !
I gave up waiting for my base car with no news at about 70 weeks in. It took my that long to realise that waiting was pointless as I should have upgraded to a GTS early on or a T later on as these were the only cars they wanted to sell, neither of which were what I wanted.I was 4th in the queue then and I am 4th in the queue now.

Last weekend I wrote a letter addressed to Krishan Bodhani. I received an email and call from Andrew Hughes which didn't help much........................but yesterday evening I received an email from my OPC saying my car was now on a ship. Don't know which one but hopefully
in Grimsby by tomorrow.
Trying not to get too excited until I actually see my car.
Don't know if the letter helped or if it was just coincidence - I guess I'll never know.

That is great… probably coincident, as I don’t think Krishan can move logistics on the continent, but the main thing is that you are getting your vehicle. Congrats!in Grimsby by tomorrow.

Today marks 73-weeks from the day I placed an order for 992 C2S.
I am rather disappointed and disillusioned with the OPC, as I started as 4th, and 516 days later I am still 4th in the queue. Is that normal?
That’s ridiculous to have to wait that long and still have be 4th on the list. They have clearly had other 992 c2s cars delivered in that time otherwise they wouldn’t have a viable new car sales business! Theres also a chap I speak to who lives in the same village who picked up his new 992s just before I picked up my GT4.
So they are being made.

I am on week 75 now for a C2, that then changed to a T and now will be a 992.2. To be honest with the recent price increase, I have found myself looking for a used 992 or even other looking at brands.
I’m sure you’re not the only one getting deflated. A nice simple spec 992 c2 will end up being rarer than a 992 gt3!

There’s the rub with the massive 911 waits. Genuinely interested in What other brands/cars would you look at/are direct replacement for a nicely specd 911 as a daily driver? I mean In terms of use ability/performance/running costs and depreciation.

I waited 20 months for my 992 GTS, I had initially ordered a C2S but due to allocation issues (ie none to my dealer) I accepted the offer of their only allocated GTS, that was going to be their demonstrator, and took delivery last month. From that you can probably tell that I think they are special enough to wait but the world would be a duller place if everyone lusted after the same thing.
