I have just received the email too. My car C2 which had a build date of 07/07/22 is now set for a new build date of 25/08/22.

I'd say that new date is a dealer/salespersons guess based on the 6-8 weeks delay they are talking about. The dates on my dealers system haven't changed, its still showing a build date of 10/6, which has clearly passed, he said the dates arent being updated until production starts again, so to ignore them.

I do t think it’s a guess by the dealer. He has sent me a copy of the screenshot which clearly shows that the build date of my car is moved from 07/07/22 to 25/08/2022.

I've received the email from my dealer this morning, 3 week delay on mine for when it arrives at the dealer, with the caveat it could move again. :|

My dealer also sent a shot of their order management system yesterday showing my C2S has gone from 8/7 to 24/8 completion.
Wouldn’t surprise me if this occurs again next month to be honest.

I would be jumping with joy if I had build allocation, but shifting delivery timelines would be rather underwhelming.

On balance, you should still get it this summer, so I hope this is now final date.

I feel your pain @MK911 , however, while you have few weeks of uncertainty, I am third in a queue at my OPC and still don’t know if I will get an allocation in 2022 or 2023.

I thought supply of new 992’s was starting to get better? I have been looking to sell my 992 C2S and agreed a price 6 weeks ago with a OPC (fairly decent price) for one reason or another I had to delay and he is now offering £5k less only 6 weeks later. Apparently demand is slowing and supply is starting to get better…….. Gutting for me but good if you are buying new or used I guess!

I ordered in May 2021 and got allocation in February 2022 for July build. So 9 months to get an allocation for me. Which is probably the average.

I am the same, ordered beginning of May 21 and allocation in March 22, so ten months to get the allocation. If I get the car in mid September that will have been 16 months in total.
Pivo - fingers crossed for you that yours will be a similar time frame. Things could be moving quicker in 2023 also..,

I'd say hes playing you, he knows you want to sell, so is trying it on, I would hold out and call his bluff.

I'd also try Carwow, thats who ive just sold mine through, and the dealer (not Porsche) bought it for £5k over what a Porsche dealer would offer.

Very easy to deal with too, I got the price I wanted within a few hours of it being listed.

That was my first thought and 3 months ago their was an amount of to and fro and negotiation and they came up to a decent price. Seemed really keen to get their hands on it. This time I said I wanted to get towards the original price and they removed themselves from the process with no negotiation from the £5k less price.

Good man @Schuey_911 , I placed order in Dec-2021, 4th in the queue at the time.

My OPC got only two 992 GTS to date (no 992 C2S , or 992 C2 for that matter).

I checked over the weekend, I am 3rd in line, only because someone dropped out of the queue.
