With a car storage company over winter/when I’m out of the country. When I’m back, it lives on the village cobbles or wherever else I am.

SE London, I park on the street, 997 GTS, same road as mine is a 991.1 GT3 street parked, and two 991.2 GTS Targas. In the winter I put the 997 in storage

Mines in the garage under a cover, I probably wouldn't have an issue leaving it on my drive but it would get in the way of my and the wifes daily cars if I did.

Rented underground garage in NW London, all year round.

This is actually my largest yearly cost in running the car! I'm sure it would cost less to just repair damage every couple of years. But parking permit is for main "daily" car, plus... I know the 911 is safe and sound cloud9

How bad is it where you live? I drove through Twickenham the other day and spotted a Taycan, DB11, 911 (991), a 718, a Quattroporte and an SLK55 all parked on the street within spitting distance of several tower blocks where people shout at each other.

Not bad at all, my 997 would probably lower the average value of the other cars across the street! hehe The biggest issue we have is damage from passing cars and vans, my old BMW was deeply side swiped. Thankfully damage to cars from "unsociable" people is relatively rare (fingers crossed).

But the real issue is the 1x only parking permit and need for a larger car.

Just out of curiosity how much does that cost? Be interesting to compare prices nationwide.
