Pads for my 996 are about £120 per axle. You could probably get discs and pads for one axle for £540.

Insurance quote is 472 on the carrera 4 GTS

Advantage of being old .

Almost 100% decided that’s where my money will go rather than the 992.
Can’t stand another sleepless night smile

The ones on my FF are still fine and that has now c 90k km on the clock (2 Tonne car) as are the ones on my Scuderia with c 75k km on it and quite a few track days with reasonably hard driving (from memory the readout was c 40% used at the last service)

Thank you guys , the deed is done.

Wear on discs came back at around 10%

Pads are 20% so I am happy she hasn’t been a track car , not that people would buy a white cabriolet for tracking smile

I strongly suggest you keep it. Good ones are scarce and I almost guarantee you will regret it.

I run one alongside my GT3 as a track day and daily, lovely thing.

Post up some details, you might find a buyer in here!

I think the general form is to ask what it is worth. Then wait for the bids.

Thanks, I am torn and sure there will be tears from both of us when she goes.

We downsized last month and only have garaging for 1 and the motorbike, so would be paying for storage .
Still tempting though.

Don't pay to store it. Storing away from home is such a pain. You can't just drive it when you want. You have to go to get it. Gets complicated. Cars need to be easily accessible and ready to go.

If you can find a way to keep that one, then you should IMO. Put in storage for a year, but hold on to it ….

Decided to keep the S2000, after the comments above and having seen how good she looks preparing her for sale , she’s too good to let go.

Congratulations, lovely car.

I’m glad you can keep the S2000. I sold a mint one back in 2010 in order to swap into an Audi A4! Our parking wasn’t so great back then so keeping 3 cars wasn’t really a good option unfortunately. E

The S2000 is such a beautifully balanced car. Maybe that’s why it didn’t have traction control (not on my one anyway). It was a joy when it was a case of machine and empty roads. The only downside was the lack of torque limiting day to day use ability a little bit (and also being a bit annoying when ‘Gary’ in his remapped Focus RS was trying to bait me). A magnificent engine on song though. You’ll find the levels of grip of the 911 unbelievable in comparison I suspect so enjoy!

2003 should be a 1.5 mild facelift with the glass rear screen, adjusted rear suspension (to apparently make it less twitchy) and polished alloys?

My advice FWIW, if it's a decent colour combo and a good one, keep it. They are climbing in value very fast!
