911 from Order to Delivery

I first asked for a 991.1 GT3, then a 991.2 GT3 then pestered OPC Swindon like crazy for a 992 GT3 Touring. To be fair they were honest and upfront right from the beginning. I received my allocation in April this year.

That looks great Tom, congrats and wish you many happy miles. Thanks MDB. The colour is Forrest Green Metallic and I have chosen Topaz. I have used them before and know the quality of their work is impeccable. I also know (from experience) that if there are any issues they will fix it with the minimum of fuss.Edited by mdb55 on Thursday 30th November 20:14

Most of us have been there, some of us few times, so providing Porsche Group Therapy (or PGT) services online makes good sense. Thinking of it, PGT should be added to the Configurator
Good to have a factual reference points from the actual owners, so we can make peace with the facts and plan, rather than read boom and bust hyperbole from the speculators

First time posting after a while following the forum - good to meet you all. I have a C2 on order that was due to be delivered last week but has just been pushed back to January. Build started on Nov 8th but hasn’t completed yet, possibly due to parts supply issues although the dealer hasn’t been able to confirm the reason. Curious if anyone is in a similar boat?
I was a bit surprised as I don’t have any particularly exotic options on the spec and it seems like other cars that started to build at a similar time are being delivered (I ordered in Feb and spec locked in early October).
Grateful for any views - so close to the finishing line but still so far…!

Hi, sorry to hear yours is delayed. My C2 entered build first week of Nov, completed 6th Nov, and was delivered to the dealer end of last week. So it sounds like you've been unlucky (?). Interesting to see that my order lead time was almost a year additional to yours though !! First time posting after a while following the forum - good to meet you all. Congrats on the delivery! Hoping I won’t be too far behind, but hard to be confident in the new delivery date without really knowing the reason behind the delay. Not complaining though, I originally expected a c.15 month wait for an allocation and it came through in 7 months - I got the impression a few people ahead of me in the list had dropped out.Pivo-T said:
