i understand that only 3-4 cars per dealership.
all 2500 are allocated
so there is not going to be a drip feeding of cars.
our dealer is expecting all 3 to be delivered between June and august.
have you not been urged to come in and spec it yet?
not much to spec apart from colour.
getting mixed messages re. the availability of PTS/decals.
have you heard if PTS is available?
what spec would you go for?

I'd be very suprised if all cars are delivered by August.

I've heard PTS will be available for MY24 cars.... but who knows!!

Short sad story:

After reading this thread last night, I half arsedly specced a Dakar on the Porsche Configurator and sent the config to my local dealer.

They kindly called me today to ask about my enquiry, to which I'd said I'd love a Dakar but I realise they are a limited production numbers model, so what are my chances of getting an allocation?

The chap helpfully asked about my buying history with the dealer, which is precisely zero (with them and the whole "brand" as a matter of fact), and then swiftly proceeded to quickly dispatch me and hang up hehe

I have a Dakar on order with the spec below, with a May / June delivery date, (but no guarantees on that) currently run a 992 GT3 T and have to say it is an epic car to drive, a little hard at times on our roads, but worth it.
The reviews on the Dakar are impressive, pity there are no PEC availability at the moment.

White/Gentian Blue Metallic
Race-Tex interior
Rallye Design Package with extensive items in leather,
stitching in Sharkblue
Rallye Design Package in White/Gentian Blue Metallic
Full bucket seats
Personal start number
8-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung
Porsche Design Subsecond Clock
19-/20-inch Dakar wheels painted in white with All-Terrain tyres
Lightweight and noise insulated glass incl. privacy glass
Smoking package
Fire extinguisher

Nice spec.

I'm unsure if i'd go for buckets though. More likely to go with sport seats.

I know someone who is getting a Dakar, spec went in 2/3 weeks ago, June delivery. Irony is, he doesn’t want it, but is a path to the GT3 RS, expected delivery for that is Nov 2023….

Think do c came in around £185k. Any guesses if they will go for overs? It’s basically a jacked up GTS right?

Luck him! Nice way to get into a 3RS.

I'd guess there will be premium, but more importantly i think its going to turm out to be an exceptional car.....much more than just a jacked up GTS!!

No premium, he’s paying list plus a few extras (there aren’t many) OPC has guided on spec for the inevitable flip (which they will be happy to facilitate!)

He has a 5 car buying history (3xGT’s - all overs) so he’s ‘earnt’ it!

Currently have a 992 GTT, possible allocation of a Dakar on the cards, not really seriously looked at it before but now I’ve delved into it a bit, I’m getting a bit more interested.

£18k for the Rallye Design Package scratchchin
