No GTS interior and no sports chrono are odd choices, I actually thought the sports chrono was standard on the GTS.
I thought sports chrono you automatically get the dial on top of the dash ?

I think it looks great and I’m tempted even without the Gts interior l
You can see sports chrono in pics. It's just the plastic dash that's an issue, cab sat in local showroom for ages also due to it.

Worth noting a 992 GTS is more powerful / similar weight / quicker than a 996 GT2, so it's a v quick car.

That's my understanding along with a button on the mode selector wheel that makes the car go mental.

I’m actually looking for a manual T but the majority of asking prices are now similar to a GTS and there are loads coming onto the market and every dealer I’ve spoken to ( 3 ) have build slots for either Nov or December delivery. II can live with the cheap dash as I always found the plastic black centre console terrible to look at with my previous 2s pdk.

I think the exterior looks fantastic and I always thought the Aero Kit was a bit try hard when comparing to a GT3 but looks fabulous in those pics .

With options more like £125-£130k, although some have been optioned to the hilt £140-150k which is madness for a Gts.
The red one for £107k was around £138k with options at current price, take £10k off that figure for the more realistic price someone would have paid at the time when new.

dont forget some paid 30-40k more than that when they told there were 2yr waiting lists back in early-mid 2022. happy to see some of these dealers are now taking hits on cars they overpaid for

Surely the quantity of 992 GTS available and their softening prices, should put huge pressure on the 991.2 GTS? They seem to be dropping into the high 70s/low 80s now and have parity with the .1 GTS, which makes sense as that engine might have greater appeal to enough people.

Don’t agree, I think people trying to give the 991.1 a “last of…” moniker are kidding themselves. There’s nothing wrong with it but there’s nothing that marks it out as being special either, particularly in manual.

The 991.2 is just a better car, especially in manual form.

I’m not sure where your info comes from on values either, I sold my 991.2 GTS in September for £87,500 within a week of putting it up for sale.

I see no reason why 991.1 values will hold while 991.2 values slip, which they clearly will in the current market.

Just my 2p.

£109k when they were first released which could be considered a bargain compared to todays price!

My "info" comes from AT:

991.1 GTS range from £67k to £87k
991.2 GTS range from £79k to £89k.

No I haven't broken down every individual advert for mileage, provenance and deviated stitching, but it's broadly close enough to justify the word "parity".

Wow, they would probably take a 100k for it now to get shot of it.

This is absolutely correct.
Agreed.

It looks great value at £100k. Spec is good. What am I missing apart from high interest rates and over stock. Do we think this is were the GTS price range is now at?

Appreciate this is pistonheads, but manual gearbox will put a lot off.

That said, its 2 years old with 11000 miles on it, was probably 127.5k new, so its lost 22.5k in 2 years. Hardly a disaster.

All the above said, 115k is still where the nice one's start.

There are clearly people looking to shift cars currently for various reasons;

1. They are changing car
2. They no longer need it
3. They no longer can afford it due to change in circumstances
4. They want to release equity, etc

Its also coming up to winter so prices generally drop anyway, so nothing new there. It not a great time to sell.

Currently it also obviously not a great time to buy as interest rates are what they are, and forecast of them dropping mid/late 2024, so people will probably hold out for another 6 months to see what happens in that respect, as obviously a lot of these cars are on finance. As such, more supply available and less people buying so prices drop. The flip side of this is though as interest rates drop as we go into 2024 (as the BOE is forecasting), interest in these cars increases and price go up. Basic economics at play really.

I have no doubt my Targa has dropped a chunk. I could have sold it for 160k when I took delivery (it was around 140k I believe to me), and now its probably 120k I suspect. But its 2 years old with over 10k on it and its a fantastic thing. Is a 20k drop over 2 years to have a fantastic car an issue ? I don't think it is.

I always used to work on cars dropping 10k a year (Porsches ) but tbh now I don’t know if that is good or bad ,what I do know is we are being absolutely screwed . The bullst about supply of chips etc is just nonsense used to justify outrageous price increases .
My macan is in for service and I have a basic taycan as a courtesy car ,it’s utterly crap inside ,plastic everywhere some of it not even gen decent quality ,I’d be gutted if I paid 80k for one of these .
I have always put nice interior options on Porsches as the interiors are basic otherwise but I am genuinely shocked how crap this interior is .We seem to be asked to pay more and more fore less and less .

You're putting alot of faith in BoE forecasting. God knows why anyone listens to them (or any central bankers) anymore as they've been wrong for years...
