Cheers.

Think the price is too rich for that amount of damage and getting precluded from Porsche warranty
This ad cat S mentions passed P health check - no idea what that means - I avoid OPC's

It's for sale at Ashgoods.

The "looking to sell" part of the description is Ashgoods looking to buy other cars from the public smile

True but that Thunderbirds roof is great - up or down - have you seen one going up and down?

I've not yet driven one, but wind noise/buffeting is supposed to be bad as well, even with the deflector up.

Anyone else found this problem?

The simple truth is no 4 seater type car will ever get close to the wind flow you get from a 2 seater sports car like a Boxster avec roof open

Sport classic 28miles
£450,000

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202309282...

Sport classic 280miles
£374,950

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202308221...

So a difference of ?250 miles (which you could easily do in a day) = £75K.
That is one hell of an expensive first drive!

Make another 200 mile trip and its another £50K lost!

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202309282...

is it me or is that just bonkers?

£450k my days. You could buy yourself a daily driver supercar, flash SUV for family/dog duties and a track weapon for that. Hope it enjoys its life in an air conditioned garage. Porsche may as well have just produced the exterior and interior and not even bothered engineering the underlying mechanical components. Such a waste.

That blue on the cheap one is lovely though....

I thought the Sport Classic was a well loved 997 run out model. They cant just badge a 992 a Sport Classic and expect it to be as sought after - can they?

Hi, newbie on the forums as I'm on the lookout for a 997.2 but not sure whether its worth holding off as we head into winter to see if prices start to dip.

There's been mention of WBAC - but has anyone used the What Car evaluation tool and is that a better gauge of pricing - not sure how they calculate tbh?

as a newbie i'm not allowed to post links but if you google what car evaluation it should take you there!

Well last winter, and 2022 cars were at their most stupid price wise, you could buy a 60k mile PDK 997.2 Carrera for £33k. There were a couple I watched that dropped from £36 and £37k to £33'something before disappearing.

It all depends though, depends how desperate sellers need to move cars on and what they owe them.

But I bet we see some 997.2's without 100k miles on them for sub £30k over the winter.

But who really knows?

I'm going to be buying a car in the spring. I've not driven them yet but my two main options are:

- 991.2 T Manual
- 991.2 GTS Manual

Ts are now around £70k and the one GTS is £85k. I wonder where they'll dip to by April.

But at 600 miles and only 2167 miles below average .. what does this all say ?

Leave it another 24 hours / 1 week / month / quarter ... will prices recover in Spring ?

Whilst all of you are worrying about the number of digits in your bank (let’s not forget that interest rates are high so every week you wait what you have in the bank is really worth less too)… I’m out enjoying. If you want one, and you find a good one, don’t look back, just have fun. We are only here for a short time. And if you can’t afford to lose on a car as it’ll put you in financial difficulty, you should probably consider not venturing into sports car ownership until you’re in a better position.

I understand nobody wants to loose their shirt on something but you can go into a new car show room and buy a brand new Audi and loose 20k soon as you drive it out the showroom. Let’s find something more interesting to talk about than the countless threads on pistonheads of car depreciation… zzz

Agreed, but it’s a forum and hence sadly there are always people with a “glass half empty” outlook on life.
