The link, if it works, should be the first official from Superdeportivos Cantanbria's 10th Anniversary,
With only one Spyder this year, and possibly the first to attend.

Finally managed to get out in the 987 Spyder at the weekend for a blast with a friend in his GT4
The car had a little bit more understeer than I remembered from my last road run. Must admit that I was in such a rush to get out that I forgot to check the pressures so the car had probably been sitting for a couple of months without the pressures being check which is the likely cause.
Just wondering what tyre pressures 987 Spyder owners use for fast road work? I have the Pirelli P Zero "N" rated tyre which does need a bit of heat in them to work (I know some people do not like the Pirelli and prefer the Mitchelin).

Pirelli P Zero are the sttest thing ever, I cannot work out how they get away with this tyre or now it can be N spec.
I just bought another car and ffs it has P Zero's on it, bloody thing wheels spins in 2nd gear ! that's another £800 on new tyres as these are coming straight off !!!
PS all Porkers understeer quite bad imo esp out the factory and that is made worse by the P zero which has zero turn in performance.

I don't have a problem with them in the dry once there is some heat in them, i find i can really lean on them with confidence. In the damp/cold is another matter. Just under 61 k new base car but it has lots of extras which makes it more than 62 kIs that a realistic price ? that's a nice flip with 10k miles on it imo !
But not that sad or have the time to price up its spec.yes 10 k miles but most to the market are 3 or 4 k miles hardly high mileage.
It's a start which is all I meant that JZM are taking the first move to lower prices on Spyders.
Good for buyers who never got new Spyders or GT4s

miles is key to price and it's 3x the amount of the ave Spyder hence the price, plus no Buckets or Carbon etc.But not that sad or have the time to price up its spec.yes 10 k miles but most to the market are 3 or 4 k miles hardly high mileage.

I doubt it's a lot more than £62k maybe £63k. l remember specing a nice higher spec Spyder with buckes and Carbon for £66k inc the £1k showroom tax.
one will have to stump up £520 to tax this car also.
I still cannot see the good value in it with those miles on it myself, well not enough to make a post and say how cheap it is lol

And the colour.
So people don't like the yellow? I toyed with getting mine in this colour but wouldn't have gone 'all in' with the yellow inside as well.I was looking at a GT4 this morning in Racing Yellow. Why does the GT4 'work' in yellow and the Spyder not? Is it down to our expectations, because the launch colour for the GT4 was Racing Yellow and so we are used to seeing it thus?
It's a fickle world we live in. 10K miles is nothing and after 8K (Almost all with the top down) I feel mines is really starting to show it's colours (or perhaps I'm starting to get to know it better) and yet this sort of mileage seems to disproportionately devalue a car.
As the number of flies that have chosen the front of my car to give up the continuation of their existence will testify, this car is for driving and not as an investment.

I think the fact it's a banana will put more people off than the miles.
And you're right about buckets. I really like them, but not everybody will be bothered.
This is true. Red would be my first choice for a Spyder, however, hardly any Red Spyders made it to the UK making them almost as rare as PTS cars. I had to settle for a Red 911 instead! Better luck next time I guess... And you're right about buckets. I really like them, but not everybody will be bothered.

I reckon its the interruption of the soft top that spoils the colour flow. The GT 4 colour works because it flows front to back.
Price
I know a couple of people who would have paid more for the JZ car - perhaps wrongly priced?

Yep heat is the key for the P Zero's as had a good blast with a 996 GT3 in the 987 Spyder on a nice warm day.
What pressures do you set the tyres to?

I think on the last run the car showed me they were around 1.8 bar cold (26PSI), and once there up to 2.1 bar (30 PSI) they are good. On a hard blast with warmer weather the fronts usually get up to 2.2 bar (32PSI), and the rears 2.3 bar (33PSI) whilst i have no problem with this i think Id like to bring the cold temps down for the summer. Around Wales a month ago, outside temps were lower and pressures were around 30/32 My hot target on this tyre would be around 2.1 bar (30PSI).
Nice, a month ago I was in a group of 650S, DBS, N430, GT3RS, B&R V8V, around Wales for the weekend, worked the car really hard and she was a treat
