Sounds nice, did you fit this yourself?

911R, did you say you had modified the 987 Spyder to 'improve' the induction sound? What did you do?
I have Cargraphic Manifolds, Evoms Vflow induction with desnork and Mesh.
https://youtu.be/NUXq8r-BD4o

slighty loud as the mic is next to the exhaust in this vid and flaps open, but you get the idea, it still has flaps so you can goto quite mode.

in car on track sound.

Thanks - much appreciated. What should I budget for all that!

My OPC did the manifolds for me I did the Vflow.

OPC is a good choice as they have all the parts in stock as Manifolds often need drilling away from the exhaust system and new gaskets needed etc.

a lot more now the £ is a bit low lol

maybe £3.5k fitted for both, makes the car a lot faster though it's very nice.
deleting 2 cats from the manifolds realised a load of BHP and is still MOT friendly in fact mine just passed today for it's 7 year old birthday no issues.
Always nice to get a clean MOT pass.

My tester said it's the cleanest car he has ever seen ;-)

One of the highlights of the day.
Whilst returning from FOS, and queue jumping on M25, I ended up pulling alongside another Spyder.
987 & 981 together, lots of double takes from other drivers, and probably will never happen by chance again in my lifetime.

There is a nice silver Manual Spyder 987 with 13,000 miles at Porsche Centre Bournemouth if you are interested.

Doesn't have buckets so not for me.

Be quick.

Picked up my new toy on weds.
Not a Spyder, but doing its best to look like one.....
It will be helping out on mileage duty to give the 981 a well deserved rest !

First outing FOS :-)

Having now owned my car from new , march 16 , it looks like the car is a very long term keeper. really fits the bill as a 2nd car for me . so special. a nonflipper or something i guess!
anyone else intending to hold for the long term?

I'm with you David
With the 987BS gen2 as my 2nd car now, the Spyder has become car 3, but it's a keeper for sure.
What else could you trade it for ?????? I don't see anything this side of a 718 Spyder, should it retain the 3.8L

As I've said before, for me it's the perfect euro tour machine.
Trips to Silverstone, goodwood etc... and a good blast over the moors on a sunny day.

What else would be better or more special ????
