Looks amazing. Can i ask how long your search took. Am too searching but not having much luck.
Agree looks great and great Spec .

Mine will probably be going up for sale in a few weeks . I was planning to keep it when I thought my GT3 was going to be PDK , but now I've managed to secure an early Manual build I'll struggle to justify both .

Left for dead - Better noise (presence) and a little easier to drive on long journeys. I think the 981 is a lot better looking that the 987 but that has nothing to do with how it drives.

Not sure I would totally agree If you could take the rear of the 987 and graft on the 981front you would have the perfect car IMO .I find the rear boot a faff to get into if you want to use it ,the roof line is far nicer on the 987 the webbing goes further back and looks a bit sleeker .The over all drive is a bit nicer in the 981 and the sport exhaust is a hoot .

Here's mine earlier today at the top of La Bonette. It really is the perfect euro tour car.

Where you part of the group staying in the hotel on the Petite St Bernard yesterday? I was in the grey 981 Cayman S that went past first thing in the morning as you were all stood outside?
Paul.
Bump.

Any pictures of the full group you were in?

These Spyders are so common!
I think it's 18 or 19 lined up at the Sclumpf collection in Mulhouse, used for experience cars.

About 4 months of searching. Be flexible on specification. Piston heads, auto trader and Porsche website twice a day. Then messages on Facebook spyder owners page and Porsche club gb.
If you find a decent one act FAST.
Good luck.

browsing "how many left" website for the 981 spyder :

3800cc to 3899cc 178 38

they have 178 taxed & 38 sorn , so 216 spyder for uk it seems.

not sure if this is 100% correct though...

So nearly 1/3 of the volume of the GT4 and less than the GT3 and RS - rare, beautiful and awesome - great cars smile

Had the chance to take the Spyder to the Mosel Valley. There are some wonderful driving roads around there.

Met up with some like minded people who had organised a great route for the day.

The recent addition of a McLaren 570S to my driveway has resulted in me having even more respect for my Spyder. Don't get me wrong, the McLaren is sensational and makes the Spyder feel rather slow in comparison, but for a blast up my favourite B roads the Spyder seems better judged.

The steering has less feel and feedback, there's also a lot less power, but as a package I reckon it all works perfectly. The ride quality is fabulous, the grip levels are superb and the engine never fails to deliver smiles, and is in a different league for sound.

I've always told myself that the Spyder was a "keeper" and I've grown to love it even more over the last few weeks. Just wish it didn't rain so much in Scotland.
