As someone who picked up a 987 Spyder towards the end of this summer I can categorically state that that none of the above cross my mind whilst hunting for a car. But the JZM car is for putting in a Carcoon. I wanted a Spyder I could drive.
Including right car at right price will sell anytime Enjoy your Spyder it is a cracking piece of kit and future classic car status on the cards
The JZM car is my old car it really does show how the market for these is softening,in 2015 I sold for £46k privately not so long ago it was up for nearly £60k now its struggling at £50k. I have been following its journey through the dealers the last few years from virgin to now jzm.
It really is a good example , one of the very last to be built , I bought as a pre registered delivery miles car with 10 miles on the clock in December 2011 and carefully run in to 2k and had oil changed early i kept until 4K miles most of these miles were dry miles the engine was always warmed up before going above 3k revs and no short journeys.
Anyone in the market for one of these don't let the amount of owners put you off , I would buy back again if I had the money it really is a good car and IMHO most definitely the best 987 spyder money can buy out there, between the 4 plus owners since me they have only put 1k miles on the clock. The spec is only missing xenons as we all know the standard lights are shocking. But if I did not know the car then the amount of owners would put me off, but its a car I would have liked to have kept forever

it does look a great car, I am also shocked it has not sold, I dove mine yesterday and it is a revelation on how a car should feel.
well weighted steering with instance finger tip feel, instance throttle response, feels light, what a drive, why any one wants a new car and enjoys driving needs their heads looking at. Its the perfect weekend car makes new cars feel like boats.
It's made me want another Cayman R (but modded) lol but I am switching brands next car.

When you say you're switching brands i hope that doesn't involve selling the GT3..I think you've got a pretty perfect three car garage if you include the Golf.well weighted steering with instance finger tip feel, instance throttle response, feels light, what a drive, why any one wants a new car and enjoys driving needs their heads looking at. I'm always going on about switching brands but if you include the whole ownership experience nothing compares to Porsche. Having said that i can imagine a Performante and Lotus Elise 250Cup/Exige 410 in my other imaginary garage..When Performantes go sub £200K i think i'd prefer one over a highly specced 991.2 GT3 RS Weissach pack at the same money.

Top 555 have an 18 plate 1500 mile black Performante at £209 AP.Reckon you could bag that for sub £200k. As you say, great value.
There's a thread on the car sorry no link.

I agree on the Performante best value automatics atm deft have one over a 991 RS.
yes my garage is a bit too perfect it's only took 50 years... I should not be looking at cars at all really as I have nailed all aspects with 2 of Porsche best ever cars and a really sweet Clubsport Golf.
But BMW has trumped Porsche at £50k with the new M2 imo. So I keep thinking sell the clubsport Golf for a M2 Comp and add the Cup Elise.
Damian Butt from TheCarGuys reckons the new Spyder will have the PU from the GT3.

I was seriously considering buying your former car from JZM, then I bought one that appeared on eBay 2 months ago, and although I have it currently on for sale on PH, I'm wishing that it will not sell, that is how much I like it....It really is a good example , one of the very last to be built , I bought as a pre registered delivery miles car with 10 miles on the clock in December 2011 and carefully run in to 2k and had oil changed early i kept until 4K miles most of these miles were dry miles the engine was always warmed up before going above 3k revs and no short journeys.

I will never switch brand, I have been driving a Porsche since the age of 17 and my first example was a 930 turbo in black...well weighted steering with instance finger tip feel, instance throttle response, feels light, what a drive, why any one wants a new car and enjoys driving needs their heads looking at. I am yes.
Oh ok, yours must have been the one offered at 911Virgin, the reason for asking, back in 2015, I had accumulated 6 CRs, yours would have been number 7, the owner at that time, a nice chap called Paul contemplated selling it around 6/2015 if I can remember correctly, it's another car that has missed my ownership so many times...I was really desperate for it!!!!Edited by Fizzbomb on Monday 29th October 22:31
