I use a product that gives it a real wet look
I apply it after wash & blow dry is done and dusted however the product can be applied to a wet car before drying it off and that's how I do my daily drivers
The end result is identical look & feel wise but I am happy to use this product on all my cars every time they get cleaned despite the manufacturer claiming it can last up to 3 months! I have never tested that claim as it only adds a few minutes to my car cleaning session and costs are minimal but I can confirm when my daily is out and about in filthy weather the rain & dirt does run off like a just polished car should do even when its an entire wet week

Some great looking Spyders! Presumably there is no reason not to use Beadmaker Rapid Detailer or similar on a car with ceramic coating? I quite fancy giving it a go with my car having seen your photos
My car had a ceramic coating but whilst it beads beautifully it didn;t retain that slippery smooth silk feel of a just waxed car hence my using it on top of the coatingMy daily drivers have never even been polished with conventional waxes just been detailed sprayed from day one and they feel and bead in same fashion as my garage queen

I thought SP16DER was in PTS Fashion Grey, not Crayon. Just goes to show that you shouldn't listen to everything people tell you in a field! Andy718 said:
hopefully not too much longer
CTEK charger has arrived so that'll be today's task.
Any advice on where to feed the cable inside to the 12v socket?

Connected mine in the frunk . Positive to the battery , negative to a handy earthing thread to the right of the battery as you look from the front. Poke the connector up towards the wipers and it just sits there , pull it up slightly to connect the charger , and when not in use just push it down out of the way . I have my charger fixed to the wall and the cable looped up to the garage roof . It is a 30 second job to disconnect before a drive , and the same to reconnect when the car goes back in the garage.I have also ordered the 12v cigarette adapter as I thought it maybe easier than connecting it directly to the battery.
I'll see which was is easier later today, I like the idea of fixing the charger directly to the wall next to the car

I tried to 12v accessory with the CTEK but didn’t work. Seemed to stop charging after short while. Ended up connecting direct to battery and earth.
I was told by my Porsche dealer that my May 2016 build Spyder has a 6 minute live time via the 12V sockets then they shut down! They said it was factory set up and they couldn't override it so like you I ditched the power socket and went with the direct to battery set up instead - 4 years on and all still good go 24/7
