The latest is by Friday we will be able to travel quarantine free to most European countries, France's reciprocal quarantine is thought to be lifted on Friday.

I booked the Eurotunnel crossing 3 weeks ago in anticipation of this happening.

As we're not staying in any large cities and won't be in any crowded area's i believe the risk will be low but as we have learnt through this, anything can change.
Cool. Really missing a blast across Europe. May plan a cheeky Ring trip. Not sure which car I’ll take though.

More material for the great 981 Spyder vs 987 Cayman R aesthetics debate...

Cayman R in Peridot just looks stunning. Lovely pair of Porsche's you have.

Agree 100%
+1 on this
The 981 Spyder is a brilliant car , but of all the features and characteristics it is the soundtrack which makes me smile the most .
Just stick it in Sport Plus , you get all the exhaust noise you could ever want with the auto blip rev matching on the downshifts.
I never get bored of the wonderful noise this car makes , but switch everything off and it will just cruise around unobtrusively should the surroundings ( time of day ) demand it.

Up until about 7 years ago I always had sports bikes as my toys , all the usual fire blades and gsxr,s etc , first thing I always did was swap out the stock exhaust for a race item .
I can honestly say that with the exception of a Speed Triple ( that used to spit flames on the overrun ) the Spyder is just as visceral in the noise department as any bike I had.

Many thanks Gixxerdave, the car is white. The car was parked in the same spot for the pictures just one with the sun in front and one behind. The pics were taken just around the corner from my house in the Moselle valley in Germany (wine growing region), in the distance is the second highest bridge in Germany which has just finished being built. I just managed to sneak out for a few moments to test that the new lithium battery I fitted this week was up to the task and decided to drive up through the vineyards for the pics wink

I'm around 40 mins south of Cochem in Traben-Trarbach. These pics were taken in a small village just up the road.

If you live in Germany then why do you choose RHD?

Equally nice car in an equally nice setting.

I obviously made a mistake when assessing the rarity of PCCB on a 987 Spyder ............
apparently , based on the last couple of days evidence ,they are as common as fu@k !!!!!!

I have both LHD and RHD cars, it is a non issue. In the case of the Spyder, when you can find me another in this spec let me know wink There were only 3 build like this is the UK and two of them are pictured above on this page. When a unicorn comes up for sale you get it bought without hesitation, otherwise you may not get the chance again.

Noticed that Collecting Cars has a 987 Boxster Spyder up for sale:
https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/2011-porsche-9...

Just in case anyone is interested (yes it has sports and PDK). Very interesting comment though:

Hi could you please advise what a “managed” seller is? Is the car a trade sale?

V Management:
Good morning. The car is being sold on behalf of the owner by V Management. We have stored and managed the car for the owner for the past 2 years. He asked us to go and find the very best 987 Spyder to add to the rest of his collection we look after, and after rejecting several examples, this was the one we recommended. He has never driven the car. Let me know if you would like any more information on the car. Thanks.

If I was a collector, I would be looking for the nirvana of carbon buckets, manual, spyderwheels and PCCB to make a healthy and profitable investment !!
