Noticed that Collecting Cars has a 987 Boxster Spyder up for sale:

Just in case anyone is interested (yes it has sports and PDK). Very interesting comment though:
Hi could you please advise what a “managed” seller is? Is the car a trade sale?
V Management:
Good morning. The car is being sold on behalf of the owner by V Management. We have stored and managed the car for the owner for the past 2 years. He asked us to go and find the very best 987 Spyder to add to the rest of his collection we look after, and after rejecting several examples, this was the one we recommended. He has never driven the car. Let me know if you would like any more information on the car. Thanks.
If I was a collector, I would be looking for the nirvana of carbon buckets, manual, spyderwheels and PCCB to make a healthy and profitable investment !!
Or just to own the car you want?https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/2011-porsche-9...

I see PCCB as a liability as a long-term ownership prospect, rather than an asset.
Will be interesting to see what that car achieves - CC have been getting good prices recently.

Agree, when I was looking for my Spyder in 2013, had the opportunity of a 987 Black Spyder, manual with PCCB, Carbon seats, Sport Chrono, Sports exhaust and Turbo II wheels.I see PCCB as a liability as a long-term ownership prospect, rather than an asset.

Apart from the Turbo wheel (which I do not like) it was the PCCB that really put me off as was always concerned about the replacement of them if you have problems. However in hindsight I could have changed the wheels for Spyder ones then it could have been one of the unicorns out there.

always better to have PCCB on R or SPyder for the braking system sans disk, and buy a set of steels 2 piece disks.Apart from the Turbo wheel (which I do not like) it was the PCCB that really put me off as was always concerned about the replacement of them if you have problems. Its a win win.
Upgrading steels is very expensive as you need bigger calipers !!! which means new hubs, MC brake booster etc etc.

just regarding that line, "it was the PCCB that really put me off as was always concerned about the replacement "when really even if you bin the disks on day one, it's better to have the PCCB brake system any way, so you cannot loose or take any risks.

So you pay a premium to then pay more to take the discs off that you have bought to put inferior discs on so that you avoid the liability which comes with the original discs which you didn't really want or need in the first place? Yes, win-win! when really even if you bin the disks on day one, it's better to have the PCCB brake system any way, so you cannot loose or take any risks.
