You didn't fancy/spec the non dusty tyres?......perhaps they were only available on 981's?

That looks fantastic. Do you have yellow stitching/belts or silver? Sorry I can’t make it out.

Does anyone know what percentage of UK 981 Spyders have PCCBs?

Re PCCBs I would guess 1/8 so 12.5%..........

Yes I suspect you're right on % PCCB uptake from the time it took for the right spec to come up for me.
Greetings from a fellow PCCBs/yellow stitching combination fan.

Greetings!

To be honest I just wanted Agate and Carbon seats.....PCCB wouldn't have been a deal breaker for me as I'm sure other brakes are excellent too.

I was convinced I wanted Agate with red brakes/stitching but then saw the yellow and loved it so just kinda 'walked into' ceramics.

How long did you wait for your spec?.....took me about 12-18 months as only 12 Agate in UK.

Afternoon all,

Ex TVR Tuscan owner here, possibly now looking to get into a 718 Spyder. Can anyone tell me their experiences of lead times at the moment? Do all dealers take from the same allocation pool, or do they get an allocation per year so i'd possibly need to ring around?

I'd thought of going used but values still remaining strong at the moment which is a good sign but i guess that may be restricted supply on the new side. I live in Reading so very near Porsche GB, so the Reading dealer would be my preferred choice. I will of course be making contact with them but it'd be good to understand owners experience, or if anyone has place an order recently?

Hi Mr Chips

You have now opened a ‘ can of worms ‘ about GT4 and Spyder Allocations which will no doubt garner many responses on here .

My ( ex. TVR. Vixen owner ) input .... I was very lucky to have been offered a Q4. PDK 2020 Allocation which had been postponed by two others for various reasons by my usual OPC . I received delivery last week without any Brexit Surcharges .
My OPC has now received their Q1 2021 Allocations for Jan / Feb / March ...... 1 x GT4. But NO. 718 Spyders .

The next Q2 2021 allocations for April / May June ....... Who Knows ?

Best to ring All OPC’s and ask the question ..... Give your details and offer the Usual £ 5K deposit to the most likely OPC
And then wait. Reading OPC is the major Uk source so good to contact them first .

Best of Luck ..... you will need it !

Started looking in Q4 2019 and bought late June 2020 so around 9 months.
The chase is part of the fun of course, and for a likely "keeper" I wouldn't live with a "not quite what I wanted" spec.
Didn't set out looking for white but very happy with the white/black/yellow coherent colour combo.
