As others said, the ad is dire, It reads like one of those scam ads on eBay.
If you're paying over £70k for a car then you'd want a level of confidence in the dealer.

Has anyone done an X Pipe modification on a car (987 Spyder) with factory PSE?

Looking to get a bit more noise without going too far...trying not to look at Fabspeed options.....

Can't seem to find anything when doing a search.

Cheers

Hi , we have done this for a customer. It was a subtle difference but did not make it louder.
It may also look better and weigh less and the customer was happy for these reasons. The car had PSE.

Thanks for the reply.

The car I found wasn't quite what I am looking for.

If anyone is thinking about selling their 987 Spyder, I'm looking for Carrara White, PSE, A/C, Spyder wheels, Buckets (but would consider sports seats) Manual (or PDK depending on rest of spec), < 30k miles, good history etc, Nav + phone module, then please feel free to PM me.

The prices of 981 spyders at opc sites has really lifted. High 70s and early 80s.
I visited my local opc south london last week and they dont have much stock.
Mad times.
I wonder how many spyders have left these shores for other rhd destinations.

Collecting this next week

Recent work includes complete disc / pads /hoses replacement, under trays taken off, cleaned and waxoyl treatment, service, wheel refurb x 4, resprayed front end to get rids of chips and ceramic coating.

Going to see if I can get a set of Tillett B5 seats installed, sat in them previously and found them surprisingly comfy and of course the lightweight appeals

Roll on next Saturday!

Congratulations! how come though if buckets is what you are obviously after you didn't go for one with that option as default? are you keeping your R?

I’ve come to realise over the years, the perfect spec car isn’t always available when I’m looking…condition, historical and recent work done to the car can outweigh some other things, in this case seats and Nav.

New head unit going in with Apple CarPlay and new seats. Then it’s perfect….well, for me at least. If I want to sell at some point I’ll just return it to original specification.

The carbon Tillett seats look great, are weirdly comfortable and weigh nothing, perfect for this car. Just need to make sure they’ll be ok on a long journey, as I’ll be taking this to Le Mans, Angouleme, Spa and Pau hopefully next year.

I sold my R to Swanny, who’s made a few changes, he’s hopefully still enjoying it….despite placing a deposit on the new Emira hehe

ATM - I am liking the red 986 Boxster Spyder more than I thought I would wink

MrVert - Interesting that you came from an R to this, I am selling my modded Cayman Gen.2 987 S and thinking of 987 Spyder also (among other things...) the Tilletts look like a better option than expensive Porsche buckets to me and will interested to hear how low they can be mounted in your car if you go ahead with them. I had a Tillett bucket seat in a previous car and it was very comfortable on long journeys.

Had a 981 GTS in between the R and the incoming Spyder, which has been great, just fancy a little more rawness again. The GTS went up by over £5k in value in the year, which was a nice unexpected bonus!

I need to get up to one of the motorsport seat showrooms to have a chat about the Tillett seats, or have a good convo on the phone. Definitely want to do it, so I’ll keep you posted on how I get on.

Worth getting in touch with Tillett directly I reckon, they may even allow you to bring your car to them to trial a seat fitment, I seem to recall others have done that.

Thanks, that’s interesting to know. I’ll have to get in touch and see if that’s possible.
