Just had the car into OPC today to check out an intermittent issue an they necked it ice as usual.

Pads are at 60% , it's a 2012 with 25k done as daily driver, so was just wondering what the rates are like for others?

Just had the front brakes done on my 02 Boxster but I can't remember how long the old ones were in service. Been years I know for I did the brakes 2 moves back.

The 03 Turbo has its original brakes and I've racked up over 116K miles on the car.

What I have found helps prolong brake life is to use the brakes harder but for a shorter period of time. It seems those long leisurely slow downs/stops where the brakes are applied for seemingly miles wears out the brakes faster than giving the brakes a good push and scrubbing speed then coasting to the stop using the brakes if necessary only to hit the stop point and to hold the car from rolling.

On standard brakes? Or, ceramic?
