Out of interest, if you could have any colour cayman, what colour would you buy? Gen2 specifically.

My choice is probably grey, boring I know.

This thread needs pictures of your chosen example.

For me the best is the Cayman R in Peridot Green.

Red. But any of the bright colours look great on a Cayman. It's a fun sports car, be fun and sporty! smile

I recognise that photo :-)

Peridot does look fantastic on a sunny day like that, but I still think the the red/black combo, inside and out looks great on the Cayman R. Although I'm obviously a little biased.

I was originally going for Riviera when I ordered my R, but it would have meant a six to nine month delivery delay and I couldn't wait. Still love the colour though.

Me too! Which number do you have? 017 for me. Am so loving the car. After 7 years as a Chimeara owner the Cayman S is so refined and the driving experience is sublime. I love the TVR for its rawness and sound but for sheer driving pleasure the Cayman is unbeatable for the price. Still got all the goodies and the briefcase too, not that I shall be using the stuff therein (well, maybe the watch!).

Enjoy!

Thanks, mind is 471, had a Boxster S 986 nice car but the Cayman is in a different league so sure footed, alas I didn't get the goodies as Iam the second owner, still love the car though.

Ps do you know how many are in the uk ?

987.2 I like black and dark blue most.

981 I agree that yellow and red both look awesome. I think lighter colours work better on the newer version.

I was very close to buying a Cayman, and if I had it would have been cobalt blue. But in the end I decided that I enjoy driving with the roof down too much so ended up with a Boxster. There was only one available with the spec that I liked, so I ended up with the generic German silver.

Had a Boxster S myself for 5 months but already tempted by the Cayman.

According to DVLA, the Cayman R is not that common. There's an even split between the manual and semi auto (?), presumable meaning PDK, over 110 of each. Data is over 6 months old now though so a few more about I expect.

Cayman S, there's over 5000 if you include the tiptronic versions.
