I think isuk was just joking regarding the 's' as we had a troll earlier knocking the GTS.
I specc'd and ordered my 2.7 Cayman back in Jan 2013 and took delivery last April. I set myself a very tight budget of £46,000 and managed to spec very lightly (PCM, 20" wheels, SSplus, twin exhaust, manual box...that was it).
As said by Budweiser earlier in this thread....once you pick these cars up and drive them...it really doesn't matter what spec you choose...they are just great cars!! I can honestly say, there isn't another car that would suit my needs more than this at the moment....nearly 40K on the clock now.... I am totally satisfied!
So chaps, long weekend coming....enjoy your 981's !!!

Spot on Frank.....
I'm still intrigued about this 3rd radiator, why it is necessary for a 4.6% power hike (meaning the S has no margin at all), how do they manage the airflow out of it (where are the exit vents?), does the 991 base have one and if not, why not and has any GTS owner got a picture of it?
I've read the Porsche bumf and it is definitely included, but I am puzzled tis all?

If fitted to Gts Pdk only I wonder if it's to do with reports of Pdk overheating on track when driven hard and hence third radiator fitted to new models?
PDK 987.2 had a 3rd RAD and still over heats if the temps are >28oc outside if used on track hard.mrdemon said:

So when I say my car doesn't have a 3rd rad, I mean the big one slap bang in the middle at the front.
If this is right, Porsche touting it as some kind of performance upgrade/must have on the GTS is a bit cheeky, no?

The red PDK Cayman GTS at Silverstone on page 44 of this thread looks to have the ACC sensor in the same place as on a non GTS Cayman, right in the centre where you would expect to see a 3rd radiator.
I think the 981 GTS 3rd Radiator is urban myth. Happy to be proved wrong.
According to OPC you are....I think the 981 GTS 3rd Radiator is urban myth. Happy to be proved wrong.
