I don't really know to be honest, I will ring my local OPC tomorrow and find out their stance. The only reason I ask is I think my CGTS wheels look like they sit in the arch too much.

I'm reasonably happy with the Bose in mine. Does require a bit of fettling - for every source I've had to dial down the bass by at least -2, but pleasantly happy now. Though obviously, better to wind the window down and listen to that sweet sports exhaust

Had another invite for the half day in a CGTS at Silverstone. I thought the trip the dealer organised at short notice was all I'd get, but that was just to decide on options. This one is 4 hours with a lunch. Trouble is the earliest they could get me in is the end of July when the car is supposed to arrive. They're always late, right?
The chap that bought my TT texted today to say he'd done an 11.2 at Santa Pod. So rather than get worried about the Cayman feeling slow I watched the Autocar and Evo video's again of the CGTS, and now I'm really looking forward again to NA revs, who needs 500 Hp?

You did well for end of July - I was invited to my CGTS day and when I called on Thursday the earliest I could get in was September! Me thinks I will be calling back to try and bring forward. This afternoon I enjoyed a proper ride on a countryside road. My car has now more than 2k miles so no stress about break in.
What an amazing trip.
Somebody said it is one of the fastest point to point car. Well, basically today I discovered that it can be so fast that even expensive and fast motorbikes can't cope with its pace. Excellent handling and chassis dynamic, fine torque delivering, intoxicating sound. Really difficult to ask for more as road going car, I barely manage to use 90% of its potential due to road constraints.
This afternoon I enjoyed a proper ride on a countryside road. My car has now more than 2k miles so no stress about break in.

Terrific car that it is, it wouldn't get even close to fast superbike ridden by someone who really knows what they are doing in the dry. (in the wet it is different) There are plenty of track videos bikes vs cars and even McLarens are way off the pace of a superbike when both are driven by good racing drivers. A virtually standard superbike laps the TT at around 130mph - Walter Rohl wouldn't get anywhere near that in a Cayman. And the overtaking performance of a supersports bike (even a 600) is in a completely different league to anything on 4 wheels - at least as much because of the size as the fact that they have vastly more acceleration.This afternoon I enjoyed a proper ride on a countryside road. Sounds good, have you considered Howfast at Bedford? I'm wondering if I'll have the courage to do it when mine arrives. -Far from trying to prove how 'fast' a driver I am it merely confirmed my suspicion that I am distinctly average. (Especially when a certain racing driver called Jonny Cocker then went 4 seconds a lap faster in my car without trying...) But I found it a hell of a lot more fun, and safer, than a normal open pitlane trackday.Come back and tell everyone how it went on track? I'm keen to know how the tyres fare!

I was offered the same, but asked them to look for a cancellation, the lady then offered me the last week in July slot. There were other options but some of them not all the tracks were available, and as they are all very small best to go when they are all open.monamimate said:

Radio, CD or IPOD, or all? I am curious as I am quite pedantic about my music quality and think it very good for a car system.Spookily, my wife had the upgrade in her 500 which I didn't rate particularly...

Checked my seat distance and it's a little less than 4 inches. Haven't had time to move them (but not sure how to shorten my legs either...)
I dare say personal preferences will play the largest role here, so a little time spent comparing is probably a good investment...

Comparison sounds a good investment indeed. Due the nature of compression of some of the tracks on my ipod some do sound better than others. I suppose a good old fashioned CD is the best way to ensure scientific like for like testing Checked my seat distance and it's a little less than 4 inches.
