PTV doesn't seem to have been specced very often, I've been watching cars for sale out of interest. Manual and PTV would be my choice too and there aren't huge numbers about.
Keep hold of yours, like I'm doing with mine
I sold mine recently in manual with all the key toys. Regretting it already. Don't do what I did!Keep hold of yours, like I'm doing with mine
It's certainly not been in a lot of cars on the OPC sales site. Currently 4 of 16 have PTV but this is a little higher than normal, and neither of the manuals have it. I would guess at one in five overall would be about right.
So that would be approximately 30 manual cars with PTV in the UK. It certainly narrows things down a lot if you're looking to buy used!

Or just get a GT4. Some people never stop banging on about how many of them are currently for sale.
If you are after a manual GTS with PTV and X73 and are having trouble finding one for sale it seems like a GT4 is also worth a look.
For a 50% premium - £60k versus £90k, so not always a viable option for people. Plus it's a totally different car, track biased with minimal creature comforts versus road biased with toys.If you are after a manual GTS with PTV and X73 and are having trouble finding one for sale it seems like a GT4 is also worth a look.

I do think that when I read the GT4 thread - I'm surprised they are still commanding such a premium given how (apparently) many of them are for sale. Kudos to those guys tho.Twinfan said:
Just a quick observation on PDK vs manual gearboxes.
So it seems the owners of manual cars seem to hang on to them a bit longer than their PDK counterparts. Maybe down to the car not being a daily driver and something of a fun car? Who knows, but I found it an interesting observation...
Id agree on this, if mine was a daily i would have gone PDK, however its a fun car so it had to be manual. So your thoughts on that seems very valid. The Boxster GTS, currently 273 PDK and 72 manual.

Manual with buckets in black with spyder wheels at Cardiff OPC for anyone interested.
The black one? Looks smart! And to reignite the rear wiper conversation, the rear wiper looks cack. Ha ha Although I have a serious question - is it not on the wrong side for us Bris? Sweeps from left vertical to right horizontal...which is surely not the optimal way round for an RHD car?

Currently sitting in the garage with a flat tyre, frustratingly .... rhodium (boring), ceramics (expensive) and full leather (didn't see the point at first but now prefer it)
mine is white, boring as well but has ceramics, carbon stuff... ure crazy to leave it in the garage... i am back from 2000miles drives in black forest with mates! and it is wonderful to drive! i have full red leather in my 997 4s but love the alcantara in the gts, it looks sportiernext trip, abbeville circuit in 10days with a nice roadtrip in the area the day before!!

ah pity, there is an air pump in the front boot that could help you drive to the next tyre garage just in case.Sorry, just to clarify, in the garage due to flat tyre hence unable to drive ... took this week off as well, planned to go for a drive or to .. relegated to the Wife's car, VW Up! .. we've always loved her (obviously it's a her) but would have been great to be out in the Cayman
