Well my car is coming up on 3 years old, which has gone really quickly and I've only covered 12,600 miles so far in it.
So it's just gone in for its 111- Point Check, Warranty Extension, 4 New Tyres (PS4S) and a MOT.
I'm also in discussions with the OPC at the moment about moving to a 911 GTS and I've had quiet a impressive trade in value I guess adding pretty much every option helps. So hopefully looking to commit to that this week but a PTS may not arrive to late this year or early next.

How can you need 4 new tyres on 12,600 miles? Have you been taking it for a on the track? So it's just gone in for its 111- Point Check, Warranty Extension, 4 New Tyres (PS4S) and a MOT.

I’ve just placed an order for a 911 GTS ... same spec as my CGTS - manual with PCCBs. It’s pretty amazing but I’m going to miss the balance and noise of the Cayman. Keep both maybe? So it's just gone in for its 111- Point Check, Warranty Extension, 4 New Tyres (PS4S) and a MOT.

Looks lovely Just noticed an almost identical one gone up at Romans for sale (Agate, manual, PCCB). Not yours is it, on sale or return?

Snap! Mines been ordered on the proviso that it will be arriving in Mexico Blue and mines more or less the same spec but with a few more goodies. What I will say are the PS4S (N0) on the CGTS are amazing it's night and day different over the P-Zero's

I have a 981 Boxster GTS, just over 2 years old, 25k miles.
Started it up the other day and it sounded rough, deeper louder sound. Great you might think, but I just knew something was wrong.
Took it out for a drive (no warning lights) and it felt slightly down on power. Turned it off and back on again (I work in IT, reboot fixes most things ) in the hope it would reset, but no, same sound.
So called Porsche assist Sunday morning, the AA (prestige guys) were out within the hour, he plugged the computer in, not a single error logged. I told him I thought it was a exhaust issue, and I had a theory based on my last car, had a similar issue. He said it didn’t sound right, but nothing he could do there, so we needed to take it to a dealer. Reading is closest, so he followed me there, they weren’t open so left keys with security, parked next to a lovely purple GT3RS. They got me an E-class merc taxi home, and then arranged for a prestige car to be delivered to Home by enterprise, really impressed by Porsche assist, first class service!
Anyway Reading didn’t look at my car until Tuesday (knew that would be the case, even though I was told as it was booked in as a breakdown it would get priority and jump the queue. At first they told me they didn’t have the car and I was mistaken, I asked them to look harder as I had parked it there myself!) but they confirmed my thought, that it was the exhaust flap, the actuator had seized.
They said they had a GT3RS in with the same issue and Germany had asked them to replace the silencer instead of freeing the flap, as it would probably just happen again (which was refreshing, as that’s what happened with my SLK55 AMG, they kept repairing it and it kept breaking). So part is due tomorrow and I’m in the hire car until it’s fixed.
The point of this post is that if anyone has a similar issue, they have a good idea of what it might be.
Ta for that, my CGTS is currently under investigation at Porsche Teesside for the same symptomsStarted it up the other day and it sounded rough, deeper louder sound. Great you might think, but I just knew something was wrong.

No probs. So I got my car back a few days later with the new part of the exhaust fitted, all seemed good, I drove it 100 miles straight off, and unfortunately the same thing happened after 60 miles. Was gutted. Presumed it might have been the other side had gone if the parts were under the same stress and same manufacture batch.
So took it back into reading, they were really good, had arranged a courtesy car for me, but on the way back (3 days later) it seemed to right itself. I asked them to put it on the ramp and take a look, which they did and couldn’t find any issue. They did apply some high temperature grease to them to ensure they would be kept free, and fingers crossed it’s been fine since.
In a months time I should be picking up my 991.2 gts though, and I’ll be sad to lose the epic noise of the 981 gts, one of the best sounding Porsche’s ever!

I would be grateful to understand how and in what areas the Michelins are an improvement?I am 5 months into Cayman GTS ownership and the car has just reached 8k miles - P Zero NO fitted. I have not exactly pushed limits of the car up to now, given the recent driving conditions, but I wince every time I manoeuvre the car as the front wheels skip and judder.
Plenty of life left in the current tyres but I am considering swapping to MPS4 before my first big road trip in May...
Cheers
Rich

disclaimer: i'm a very average driverfor me the Michelins (i have non N rated though) are better in every way, particularly in terms of grip in cold/wet. i've just come back from a drive and it's 5 degrees and pouring down outside but the Michelins feel way grippier and natural around corners.
The Pirellis were hard and numb to the point that i always drove the car slowly in anything but good conditions.
Tyre scrub is pretty much gone and the icing on the case is that the ride is a little bit more supple too (X73 on mine).
