It's painted plastic trim, nothing special in my eyes but to others it's gold dust! laugh

I didn't spec it as I have satin platinum (matt finish) wheels and didn't want to go all shiny and blingy on the plastic. I suspect this is why most other people didn't spec it either, as satin platinum wheels were the most popular I think. With different wheels, e.g. shiny Turbo or Classics, the exterior pack would make more sense.

The Zunsport grilles aren't massively shiny so I think they work with either style.

I wasn't specifically looking for one with exterior pack but it does look good, nice contrast to the Carmine red.

Interior pack is really nice as well.

Interior pack is much more important. Contrast stitching and the carbon really makes the interior feel special.

After years of indecision I finally swapped my Cayman 987.1 S for a 981 GTS on Saturday.

I was a bit worried I would miss the old car having owned it for seven years.

That worry didn't last long, new car is awesome. I am even liking PDK, my preference would have been manual but the right car didn't come up.

Car was from OPC Swindon, previously at JZM. I believe somebody on here said it was their old car, not sure why JZM didn't sell it - Swindon purchased it from them. Seems clean to me so hopefully no skeletons..

PDK and illuminated door sill logos among other goodies?

Really GTS interior and exterior pack is a great combo.

I don't like private plates, but that's great.

I once saw N1FTY on a Fiat Cincecento Sporting, and that was cool, too.

It's got a lot to live up to after reading and listening to you lot and every youtube/mag review. Gonna plot a route back through the Peaks the off to North Wales early Sunday. Black Forest and Swiss Alps in August.

If you don’t like it you can always trade for a 718.

Love it !

Ps the exterior GTS pack looks ace, really sets off the GTS trim ;-)

Pps you really need to get some Zunsport grills fitted, they match the GTS gloss trim perfectly so look OEM, make the car look meaner and protect those rads.......

Ppps oh and 991 side repeaters, you know you want to, they look sooooo much better lol

Loving the car. As expected it sounds epic and so much more compliant on the bumpy back roads in the Peak District than my 997 ever was. What's the consensus on Zunsport Grills and Pork Warranty renewal. Are dealers generally forgiving with this preventative measure?

No but I saw the car there during their open morning some months back. Almost identical spec to mine, though mine doesn't have the sill illumination. Obviously I thought it rather fine...
