Those 991 repeaters do look cool. How much?

They where around £100~ when I changed mine over but that's a while ago now.

Loving the car. As expected it sounds epic and so much more compliant on the bumpy back roads in the Peak District than my 997 ever was. What's the consensus on Zunsport Grills and Pork Warranty renewal. Are dealers generally forgiving with this preventative measure?
Glad you like it - are you on PASM? I find the ride with 20" wheels and PASM unbelievably good smile

Grilles are VERY dependent on your OPC, and even the service representative you deal with.

Yep. pASM on 20s. Quite surprised how comfortable and well damped this set up is. The rads on mine look like they taken a bit of a battering already tbh. Car has done 12k and is in superb condition overall though.

Such a beautiful car. Whoever styled the 981 deserves a pay rise. It's always reminded me of the Dino 206 GT.

Not thought of it that way before, but I see what you mean.

It always reminds me of the car it was styled after, the 918. Especially in white, which is partly why I went for white myself biggrin

The Dino was my "favourite car" when it came out. I was seven. Early tastes don't change....

I think the 718's rear looks odd in comparison. They got it right first time, then messed with it.

Agreed - I don't like the 718 rear end, or the flatter nose and lights. I referred to it as "duck face" at the time, and still feel the same way.

I liket he fact that the 981 looks a touch dated now, I really believe it's going to be seen as a classic in years to come. It's "peak Cayman" to me.

Just brilliant on the 230 mile loop I've done with pals around North Wales. Even the R1 rider was impressed with it! This will be the perfect touring holiday car. Superb chassis and you never tire of that exhaust note.

Lovely colour, btw. Nicer than my black one, but I had to have manual, so fewer cars to choose from. There was one that colour, but I'm mildly ashamed to say I rejected it for the debatably-girly reason than it had no park sensors.

P.S. I've just realised yours is manual as well. Very nice indeed.

As in virtually no choice. It was this or a white one four grand more iif you wanted a manual which was essential for me.

Glad your loving it. It's a pity you could not afford a newer faster 718 but welcome to the "smugness" club of someone with nothing to prove ;-)

Congrats and drive in good health buddy.

My 981 gts was great for 3 years and I’m now letting it go. Lovely car, but I require a more raw weekend toy!!

GTS still a cracking little car though smile

Chaps, the GTS is getting new exhaust tips under warranty today. Anyone use any protective products to stop them corroding? I did have mine Ceramic APT coated but that was after 1 year of use (1700 miles). Or is it just going to happen again anyway?

Mine are a bit of a mess on a 16 plate, when do you think it's ok to ask for replacement? Like how bad do they need to be?

Regards an earlier post, mine came with mesh grills on the front (protecting the rads), I didn't realise they weren't OEM. I bought it as approved used from an OPC and have since had it into another OPC for minor warranty work and it's first service and nothing mentioned...

Booked in at Zunsport for fitting next week. Luckily it's local to me. think they look good to which is a bonus.

Out of curiosity, what are you planning to replace it with?

Requested mine to be changed at 5K miles and 2 years old, was rejected. Requested it at 9.5K miles and 3 years old and they agreed to replace them.
