Soooo the Cayman GTS!! I now know why some owners have to think very careful before selling and what to move onto next! I was only thinking of keeping the car short term but i have a strong feeling i am really going to like this car. Also helps that i am the second owner and its just clocked over to 2k miles! lol

The 981 Spyder is slightly more aggressive with the power delivery, sounds a bit louder and a bit more planted. Would i pay 20k overs to change if i had the GTS....Hmmmm not sure but i think a big part of that is that i would never pay overs out of principle.

You got it Phil, grats! Sounds like your in love already! Thats the problem I'm facing, Manual Boxster GTS with X73, I'm the second owner and had since 1700 Miles when it was a year old. High spec but will still hit me 25K to change to a Spyder not sure I think it's worth it.......sounds like your not sure either?

981 GTS in B or C form certainly are a sweet spot.
I do miss mine sometimes because it was my daily… meant that no journey was ever a chore.

Don't get me wrong, i wouldn't sell my Spyder as i do really love it but i was lucky enough to pay list price. Now you will have to pay overs for one and me personally couldn't do that unless money was no object.

If it wasn't overs I probably would have done it by now!

I'm going to drive out to Wales Sunday morning if anyone is around Shropshire and fancies a drive. Planning leaving at 6am and back for around lunchtime. - Jbaddeley is joining me in his CGTS.

Sounds good but I've done at least 2 walking around looking at car events this year, that's enough lol.

the drive there is great as you can up early to attend at 6.30, then arrive for 8am and have bacon butty and look at RS's

The other half will be happy as you can go round the building after lunch with a glass of fizz.

win win for a day out ;-)

Just got the 981 home, it has no torque, crappy infotainment, only one USB charging point ... fking love it!

Can totally understand how 718s and 981s suit different people depending on what’s important to you. For me I feel like I’m ‘home’ again at last smile
Returning to this forum after a break to see that I've done almost the same as you. As a former 981 owner, I traded my 718 Cayman GTS in after just 5 months of ownership. Just couldn't get on with it, for reasons you've ably discussed in a certain other thread over 100 pages long... I believe it was seeing your green car for sale earlier in the year that sowed the seed of selling the 718. Now in a low mileage 981 Boxster GTS and the amount of money I've lost on the 718 is (almost) forgotten. I echo all your sentiments above!

That green one is stunning. If it's manual and you'd like to sell at any point....
