Jay... if you haven't already.. check out what RPM do with their CSR treatment for the 981.
They have developed on a Cayman - but sure it should all be transferable to the Boxster.

If I had seen this before or it was available... i might well have done parts of this instead of changing to the GT4.

Perfect!! Looks gorgeous, the BGTS I sold prior to getting my 718 was Carmine, fantastic colour. That’s why I went for a low mileage 981 GTS too, it doesn’t make sense financially but I wanted something that felt as brand new as possible! Is that Solihull? That’s my local OPC

I don't normally go for solid colours, but Carmine Red seems to work on this car. It certainly stands out a bit more than my GT Silver 718. And yes, that's Solihull Porsche, the nearest dealer to me and where I've bought my previous Porsches from.

Interesting read mate. I really do want to keep the balance of more road to track in the GTS, the following things are in my head at the mo.

Its all pending the 718 Spyder, If i get offered one then I don't to have spent a load on the GTS, so the sooner that comes out the sooner i know what i am doing.

718 / GT4 Steering Wheel
GT4 Shifter
Spyder Duck Tail Spoiler
Geo / LCA + Spacers if needed
PS4S or Cup2

Above for me isn't bad for £3K keeping all my original parts. Thats not including tyres, I class tyres as consumables lol (man maths)

Things I would like to do at some point.
Headers + ID Plenum + BMC Filters + Cobb (370hp) - £4000
Shorter FD. www.autoquestcars.com/custom-10 - £2500

I think that would make a pretty fun car to drive.

What alignment settings do you run? How different does it feel and in what respect?
I'm running -1.5 at the front and -2 at the rear on the camber, 1 minute of toe each side at the front and 7 minutes or toe each side at the rear.

The steering feels a touch weightier and bit more direct than it did initially. Not night and day different but it's noticeable. Putting the PASM in Sport Chassis mode does the same again - adds a little weight and directness to the steering.

I had chance to see my first 718 GTS in OPC Chester this morning, wow there is a lot of plastic in there, I did not realise that leather dash was an option now on the GTS. I could not live with that much plastic on a £70k car, reminded me of a Kia dashboard lol

I'm surprised they had a GTS in stock, unregistered and unsold at this time of year ie new 68 plate out last weekend ?

Nice one. Who did it for you? CG are not so far from me. Do you know the factory spec's?

CG will have the factory specs, but they are:

Front camber each side: -35 minutes to -1 degree 5 minutes
Front toe each side: -2 minutes to +4 minutes
Total front toe: -3 minutes to +7 minutes

Rear camber each side: -1 degree and 35 minutes to -2 degrees 5 minutes
Rear toe each side: +3 minutes to +13 minutes
Total rear toe: +6 minutes to +26 minutes

Do you have steering assist, as it shouldn't make any difference?

Power mods are quite alot, £5000 for 25hp/18lbft.

DMS are quoting 390bhp for the 981 GTS and prices are sub £1k.

Seems quite optimistic but equally they’ve done a couple of Porsche’s for a friend of mine well and had a Carrera GT and GT3 RS in when I had my other car done,

Although the engine is an absolute peach it would definitely benefit from more torque and power in my opinion..... but not sure I want to risk the warranty at the moment..

DMS remap figures are a load of balls. Always have been. You have to spend alot of money to get a 3.4 to 390hp. Jens would say to get to 380hp you need £8000.

I think manifolds and 200 cell cats, and a tune would see around 355hp, someone said there GTS with PSE dyno'd at 370ps in Germany with those mods, still £3500.

I echo your cynicism!! Certainly for a NA setup.

That said they’ll give your money back and reverse it off no quibbles - and do pre and post dynos, so if not much to lose (apart from an engine) for anybody interested in giving it a try.

Nope, I don't have steering assist. I'm assuming it's the firmer suspension settings giving a bit more feel.

I wonder if they will let you do a before and after on a different dyno. There is a GTS on Autotrader which has had a DMS remap claiming 390hp.

I've had my m135i mapped by them and a friend of mine also a Boxster S, Turbo and a BMW 330d. They do pre and post dynos - indeed i stood at the machine live to watch both results come in - so although the actual numbers you can never be 100% sure of the relative increase at least should be accurate.

Easy enough to do a pre and post independently at Surrey rolling road for example though?

A really nice lap on board a CGTS at the Nurburgring. (7:36 BTG)

Cayman GTS, X73, Fabspeed race manifolds, Cup2 tyres, max camber available. The driver has has great confidence in the car. Think the gearbox is in full auto which does some abrup downshifts where manual you'd probably leave it in the current gear.

What do you guys think a Sports steering wheel with airbag is worth? It's mint and not PDK.. very close to sorting a GT4 wheel for my GTS.
