I hit the limiter once on the way up and later had the overrevs checked and they were completely clear. If you've done the same you should be fine.

The problem only occurs if you have a manual gearbox and hit too low a gear on the way down...

I think anything over rev range 3 7900rpm Porsche will not warranty. I know when I sold my GTS they checked the rev range and anything over range 3 would not be purchased as it could not be warranted. Be worth speaking with your OPC before having the 111 check done. Maybe ask them to do a rev range report or something.

Yep, worth checking the rev range report before going any further IMHO.

I don't know if the owner of the Carmine 981 sold to Reading OPC is on here, but I'm very glad you moved it on. Very excited to get back into a CGTS. Can't wait!

Back into one - what did you move to, and what made you come back?

does that seem reasonible to you please?
I've been offered the check at £100, if I have the service at the same time as the warranty extension. My GTS will be 4 in August.

At the time, I was working overseas a fair bit so wasn't getting to use it enough. We also had some building work ongoing at the time and I didn't want the car sitting on the drive attracting dents. Was gutted to see it go.

I had a Golf R, then RS5 Cab afterwards. I sold the RS5 Cab recently. I have been toying with the idea of a Macan GTS / Turbo or even Cayenne Coupe but Reading had the Carmine one in today and I couldn't resist. I'm going to get a Kia e-Niro for the family duties. I couldn't face only having an SUV to drive.

Determined to take the Cayman to Wales or Scotland to properly stretch its legs :-)

Gotcha, so it'll be a reposession or a hand back?

Either. Will make no difference to the price it's a top grade car from a top source.

Took my 11 yr old son out for a drive just now. The little yelps and wows are what it's all about!

I think he enjoyed it too.
