My CGTS is close to its 7th birthday. ??
Still love the car and will have to decide wether to continue with my GT4 allocation or not.
It amazes me how well this car has retained its current value in spite of the new 4.0 GTS.

Yes unreal how they've held their value considering there was an ex-demo 4.0 that was offered at 64kgbp last week on the Porsche used website.
If anyone is thinking of selling do it pronto, the yellow one that was at 911 Sport is being delivered to me this morning so prices will fall off a cliff in a week or two.
My third time with a 981 GTS, every time I try something else it doesn't seem to suit our requirements as well as these cars do. Mind I've not tried a 4.0 GTS as there are no PDK's available and if I spec. a new one it's as good as £90k OTR
Perhaps the lucky chap that bought my old one, LB15 UZP is one here? If so I hope you're enjoying it!

My sports exhaust was making a rattling noise so popped into Autostrsse this morning and my off side rear box, solenoid arm, has detached itself from the the rear box. I’m told it can’t be welded back and so I will need a new box.
I’m waiting for a quote to replace it but wondering if anybody knows if there is an alternative fix?
Also this does present an opportunity to look at after market systems.
Has anyone fitted an after market system? If so would appreciate details of sound and cost etc?
Thanks.

I’m pondering the change from 981GTS to 991.1 GTS, what else did you try before returning to the 981GTS? If I could have afforded it I'd have kept the GT3, but the costs for doing trackdays regularly took it out of my budget and FOR ME it didn't work / justify as a daily. Plenty do that no problem though so it's just personal preferences.

Two GT4's and a GT3. So not really similar cars. Finances came into play to go from the 991.2 GT3, along with the problem of finding it too fast for my skill or self control level. I did try a 991.2 GTS but it felt too sanitised, the 981 GTS has a bit of a mechanical feel left in it maybe, difficult to pinpoint I just like the 981.

Thank you, then the problem is replacing a high spec 981GTS decisions decisions. You certainly tried some nice machinery though. If I could have afforded it I'd have kept the GT3, but the costs for doing trackdays regularly took it out of my budget and FOR ME it didn't work / justify as a daily. What number owner were you and how long did you have it for? Keen to hear your thoughts on that car.
