I had mine done in September, I told them not to do the tyre weld but full 4 year service + brake fluid + MOT = £1037 incl VAT at Chester OPC. They where originally c£100 more than bolton but price matched their quote just on my quoting them. Always worth phoning around a few localish OPC's and get your preferred once to price match ;-)

I have an extended warranty on the car, so my worry is they wouldn't take a indie quote on board as I want zero wiggle room should I need to use it.

I do think replacement plugs after 15,000 miles (yes, I know this is a poor effort after 4 years) is a bit excessive but as I said id rather pay it and have piece of mind when it comes to the warranty.

It was only over the phone but I can't remember all of it now but they have attached it to my job card when its due.

I think its was around 300-330~ on consumables.

If you are only required to visit for a service every 2 yrs with the major every 4yrs it isn't that bad. If for example you owned a Golf R and did similar low mileage, VW would recommend a service every year which over the a typical ownership term wouldnt work out that much less in the grand scheme.

I agree, in the grand scheme of things its pretty good to be fair.

As I know the A3 had a minor service the other day and that was £445 and that's nothing fancy.

Absolutely agree.

If I think of performance of these cars and service scheduling is the one of a fleet car....unbelievable.

Wife had an A3, after the service pack ran out we were quoted the same for a minor service + brake fluid! I did actually say that's pretty much the same price as Porsche. It went to a specialist instead and cost £150.

I bought a yellow one! LOL only because it was the cheapest GTS available at the time!!!!

However I love the colour now and really think it suits the car.
