Hi all,

Looking to finalise a deal on a brand new Cayman S over the next few days (car is in stock somewhere) however the car is not equipped with PSE. I really want this option, especially after experiencing it @ the Silverstone Cayman day and many of you have suggested it is well worth it!

Will ask the salesman whether it can be retro-fitted. Just wondering if anyone else has been in a similar position and what the OPC offered them? I will not make it a deal breaker, however just think it will add to the experience of the car. I can see from the option list it is some £1,400, however must be significantly less i terms of real cost value..

Thanks G

You might want to think of that cost as the uplift from standard pipe to PSE where is ordered initially you don't have the standard pipe, your now going to have both and you also have labor costs. You might be able to offset this by selling the standard exhaust but don't suppose there is much market for a 2nd hand standard exhaust.

I think I read somewhere that to have PSE retrospectively installed is about 3k.

Have a look at some after market exhausts if you don't mind having it loud all the time

To get it supplied and fitted at Portsmouth was £1800. I've heard Exeter are doing it for £1500 (rumour and third hand info only).

See my thread about it.

Thanks for the replies all, did not do it in the end, they wanted £2,000!!

To be honest, the deal they have given me was well worth doing even without PSE. I am going to wait until they have a promotion to get it fitted, or ring around OPC's mentioned to see what they can do.

Thanks G
