What interior did you go for when spec'ing CGTS or BGTS?

I will be going for deletion of alcantara as not sure how it will wear over long period of time.
Personally I think you are making a mistake, even Porsche salesmen strongly recommend keeping the Alcantara with or without the interior pack. Why make a GTS the same as a Boxster / S? You also lose a heap of the sporting character. For what it's worth I have Alcantara seat centres in my Skoda Octavia daily drive, 40k miles on and the Alcantara is indistinguishable from new, showing no wear at all.Andrew911 said:
Like it. Looks great. Kind of agree about the carbon. Can you clear something up for me. if you go leather/alcantara I see can places like door etc is in alcantara & seats look leather. Are the seats fully leather or part leather/alcantara. Really like it.
Seat centre panels on squab and back are Alcantara. Seat sides and bolsters are finished in "smooth finish leather" to quote Porsche. Headrests are leather with GTS embroidered in black thread. If you opt for the full leather interior you cannot have GTS on the headrests, which is Porsche's way of saying it is no longer a GTS themed interior.dreamcar said:

Thanks. I must admit I think I prefer this to the GTS interior pack - similar reasons - carbon makes the interior dark & still think the red GTS logo on the seats in naff IMO. It's a personal taste I know.dreamcar said:

Many thanks for this. I agree alcantara looks much more special and the interior on your car looks superb. What do you use to keep alcantara clean?

What do you use to keep alcantara clean?
In the Octavia I just brush it lightly occasiionally and vacuum it with a 12v car vacuum. I've never cleaned it yet. I'm to,d with the Alcantara steering wheel rim I'm told if it goes flat with perspiration then water with lemon juice gently dabbed will recover it. With the Boxster the OPC threw in free Autoglym Lifeshine ( I wouldn't pay for it as I'm very sceptical about the so-called lifetime guarantee) which included a stain guard treatment for the interior trim. What do you use to keep alcantara clean?

lovely that, especially white GTS and stitching - that with the white painted door and dash bits would be my choice
Porsche will do you white deviated stitching on door panels and dash, not sure about the headrests. Deviated stitching is very expensive, to do the stitching as per interior pack would cost in excess of £1k on its own. Not sure how white / silver the stitching would be over time with heads / hair resting on them though. FYI it's rhodium silver stitching, not white with the interior pack.Gassing Station | Boxster/Cayman | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
