Nice nice nice...

Am doing an alps run hopefully this year and am trying to get a videographer to come with. He's saving up for his copter right now. What model is it?

Ps: I'm a producer by the way so if you need music for any projects let me know...Planning on putting some complete movies up later this year of the runs..

Its a DJI Phantom Vision V3, Ive only flown it twice so getting to grips with it, the main thing is trying to find something interesting to film. Here is the raw footage, obviously uploading it to youtube compresses the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=78nP6uwkk5o&fe...
I'm going skiing in a few weeks to Austria and if i can fit it in my case its coming with me !!

Make sure you are aware of the appropriate laws in Austria.

Have you the stock camera - 1080p at 30f/s? I'm not familiar with quad copters in great detail but will be using them soon hopefully. What type of range have you and how fast does yours go?

If like me your going to shoot the car the best idea is to mix it in with regular ground shot stuff using occasional shots from the copter. That adds a great overall perspective in projects and looks great.

Hopefully were going to get a copter with programmable GPS so we can set shots up in advance and still only use one camera guy and one driver.

Looks great anyway. Keep posting the footage

Yeah its 1080p at 30 fps, not a clue on the range or speed, I would never fly it out of range of sight anyway. Good point on the laws in Austria, didn't even consider they might be different to UK, Highly unlikely that is you are sensible and take it well off the beaten track away from the public I would have any problems as police are thin on the mountains but..... ! Funny thing is they actively encourage drunk skiing there, it's literately carnage on the last runs from about 6pm onwards (we it is in Solden & Ischgl)
