You do know that the interior carbon fibre is fake? It is as close to genuine as the carbon effect wrap you can get for exterior panels.

I know about automotive interior plastics, it's just a piece of carbon effect vinyl and injection moulded polymer. Genuine carbon fibre (carbon fibre matting autoclaved under pressure in epoxy resin within syntactic foam moulds) it ain't but if you like it, go ahead.

Carmine now out of the equation so it's DMB or GR.

Why is it so hard to spec a bloody car! smile

Someone mentioned on here that they changed their spec from red to blue and 'sod future values'. Do we really think DMB will be harder to sell on down the line? It's not a major concern by I do like to spec my cars with one eye on resale

Spec the car for your enjoyment not resale. Who knows in 3/4 years what the values will be. They won't depreciate a lot. Will cars with Michelins rather than Dunlops or buckets v Sports seats or PCM or no PCM modified or not modified be worth more. Nobody knows.

FWIW - I feel your pain - colour choice is tricky as lots of colours look better than others and vice versa depending on the light - also these cars are expensive and people don't want to get it wrong as once you're locked in you are committed . FWIW I think it looks best in DBM / Agate / Metalliic Black as long as you have ceramics , if you plan to run on steels , I'd go red (not Carmine) or white but only if adding decals - I realise this will not help you one little bit , sorry smile

P.S - never spec a car on future values - spec what you want otherwise you'll always regret it , sell it earlier than you would have done - cost you more in the long run , etc .

If it helps - here are 6 colours together - Agate, Guards, DMB, Carmine, Black, SB.

Guards and DMB -

Carmine -

The Guards Red GT4 was favourite for the bukkake competition -

You have very big balls Phooey!

Cheers for the pics, Its a hard one (no pun intended) between these 2 colours for me. Does anyone live anywhere in the South West / Midlands or South that has a DMB I could see in the flesh?
I'm going steels and platinum and I think red and blue is a decent combination. i actually prefer a contract as against red and red or yellow and yellow.

Flat White, or Carrera White Metallic? (ad just says white). Will make it more difficult by offering two shots of the same car in clearly different lighting

Carrera White Metallic is so hard to tell, hence not worth the option imo.

I have been into an OPC and asked to see Carrera White Metallic and the sales have said we don't have a car, when in front of them was a Carrera White Metallic car.

in bright sun one might tell, but I would go flat white as a metallic can never be match if scratched and as Carrera White Metallic looks normal, it's not worth the hassle.

if it were BMW pearl white then yes, or Lotus white, but Carrera White Metallic :-(

Yep - some of the BMW individual colours are striking but subtle. A good spot to aim for imho...

My 335d is in a colour called "Moonstone". I still don't know how to describe it as it looks so different in different lighting conditions.

V5C says Yellow/Silver.

I suspect it would be a great PTS colour for a GT4, especially with the Platinum wheels. I think there's more depth to it than there is to either GT Silver or Rhodium.
