What is a 981 Cayman like doing boring stuff?
Discussion
I have a 2014 Cayman S PDK, its my only car and I've driven 16000miles in 12 months. Prior to the Cayman I had an A3 2.0T and then a 330i. IMO its good at doing the boring stuff, significantly better than I anticipated. You can drive it like a OAP in a Kia if you want to!
On the motorway Cayman has lots of tyre noise unless its a freshly laid surface, on the 20inch rims it can drown out conversation, on 19inch and winter tyres its a bit better (but 'squirmy' feel if you press on). You'll need to crank up the music so make sure it has speaker upgrade.
Around town its a doddle to drive, easy steering and PDK make it one of best cars I've driven in traffic. Getting out can be amusing in tight parking spaces. Luggage space is OK, you can get two cases up front and smaller bags in the back, most of the time I only use the back boot (supermarket trips etc).
Get a puncture and you'll curse the lack of spare and limited supplies (I've had two nails wipe out the rear tyres).

No probs. My only car which does everything.
Covered 46,000 in it over the last 24 months since brand new. I find the Cayman is better suited to me over the Boxster as I can fit large exhibition panels into the rear hatch....you can't do that in a Boxster.
A couple of weeks ago, I drove up to Edinburgh and back (Suffolk) - very comfortable and 32mpg showing an average 60mph....
