GT4 PTS

Hi Guys,

Thought I would start a PTS thread for the GT4.

I was thinking of going for Riveria Blue but hearing that there has been quite a few orders already for that colour. hmmmmm

What PTS colour have you gone for?

Mexcio :-) atm ! still thinking Voo Doo, Viper green or light Oxford grey.

The 'blues' are getting quite common. I've gone Jet Black metallic, but if had to I might go for one of the greens - probably Signal or Birch. I just honestly think the Cayman doesn't look that good in PTS.

what if yellow was CTS ? any colour is CTS so you cannot blanket "Cayman doesn't look that good in PTS"

It's just more choice :-)

So tempted to go for light Oxford grey and be 1 of 1 UK car in that colour. (one would hope)

Agree its a hard one.

I do love the Mexico and Riveria but the big part of going for PTS is to be special and like you say only being 1 of 1,2,3 in the uk.

I like the greens too but not sure if they would look as good on the Cayman.

Currently on Mexico, have considered, birch green, signal yellow and gulf blue. Was done for racing yellow w yellow stitching inside before pts became available. Spec keeps creeping up! Now considering whether I need alcantara sun visors too having seen how the plastic ones stand out against the alcantara roof lining. Gone for grey stitching now but still full leather/ alcantara interior. Tempted to go red stitching, but that's MORE money. Not sure when my spec gets locked down, but needs to be soon before I spend even more!

I have had platinum over red for the stitching, it just goes with blue nicer. and £800 cheaper but still get the full effect.

I see lots of Voodoo, Mexico, Rivera orders... Sounds like PTS blue is going to be the kiss of death come resale time!

Maybe..... or maybe those are the colours to have ;-) I am sure there will be a nice spread of specs and colours.

Lots of Blues, yes. But maybe that's what suits it best

What PTS colour have you gone for?

Midnight Blue Metallic is the one to go for IMO; was also available on the 964 RS and 993 RS..

Not With only 4 blue cars and 134 yellow ones :-p

I went for PTS for my Spyder and it has added nine weeks to the planned delivery date. I don't know if it will be the same for the GT4 but if you want your car sooner rather than later it might be something to think about.

I suspect most of you will think as I do -'What the hell, I'm not going to do this very often so I want it right' and as I had a proposed delivery date of December any way, deeper into the winter makes little odds to me.

Already on the list - Riviera Blue

I've just read my order form (actually to get the spelling of Riviera ) In one place it says ' Note: Due to the specialist nature of the option selected - delivery time will be delayed by at least 12 weeks'. Over the page it says 'Colour to Sample options will incur a maximum extra delivery time of 12 weeks'. The Dealer was told, by Porsche UK, nine weeks. He suspects that, having had issues with delayed deliveries (GT3 for example), Porsche UK are quoting longer lead times to avoid disappointment and it MAY be quicker.

make what you will of all those different times. Clearly though CtS will delay the delivery.

Went firm on my Spec today including a great colour that I don't think anyone else has ordered.

Fingers crossed it looks OK!

I thought everyone would be going for yellow too, but vehicle planning said that only 27 cars specced in yellow as of last week but quite a few in PTS Blues.... Riviera, Mexico, voodoo etc....
