My Euro Trip. Faultless Boxster!
Discussion
Just back from a euro trip with Mrs BB.
In short:
UK to Troyes
Troyes to Geneva
Geneva to Chamonix
Chamonix to Lake of Lucerne
Lake of Lucerne to Troyes
Troyes to UK.
10 days, 1855 miles.
Including St Bernard Passes and The full Andermatt Loop.
987 S 3.2 was faultless and the perfect car.
A few pics:
Forget RMS, IMS get out there and drive them!

Yep, I sometimes think people spend more time talking about cars they actually never own rather than just driving and enjoying what they have in the drive way! Great looking car, mate. I had the same wheels on my first Porsche - a 987 yen 1 2.7 which I covered 90,000 miles in 3 years! In short:

OT...can I assume you are a NCFC fan by your handle? I am not a football fan, but my old chap is a season ticket holder at Carrow Road for some 50 odd years!!
Pete - I think the trick to talking the good ladies is having lots of time. In the trip we had time to do some shopping, have some nice nights out and do some great trips (cable cars in Chamonix were brilliant). Plus the Boxster was great a taking a decent amount of luggage.
Frank, correct, come on you yellows, on the ball city and all that

I have just done similar in my 987 3.4s.
10 days in Dordogne, then over to Morzine for 10 days.
Car was perfect. Well almost, had a dodgy brake light bulb, lol. Used no oil, went like stink.
Mrs did paragliding in Morzine, I hired a downhill bike and did the world downhill championship black run - pretty hairy, lol!
First ever Porsche for us, loved it.....

Nice, I really like the blue and the lobster claw wheels.
I've done a tour for the last couple years through the Alps and intend to do one every year I can.
It really does connect you to your car.
Unfortunately I also managed to connect with a bus this year which was a bit of a pisser, but it does mean I get to choose a new one for next years trip.
My wife is coming with me to the Porsche museum next spring as well for a little trip, but once the kids are grown up we intend to do a few longer tours together.
Keep enjoying the car.
