Hey,

I was wondering if anyone already fitted an aftermarket exhaust to a GT4, I really like the sound the car makes but I don't find it loud enough (inside the cabin at least)...

I do think that if I find a way to have the PSE valves open all the time it will make it better, I feel the car really muted if Im driving a bit slower. I previously had a V8 Vantage with the exhaust fuse removed and it made a glorious noise from 1rpm basically, it always felt like an event to drive it

Any ideas on how to proceed?

Thank you,
Jorge

Disconnect the vacuum tubes running to the rear boxes and plug them (to stop losing vacuum which is shared by cooling system valves and which causes cooling fault messages) and it will run in default noisy mode all the time.

This was covered in detail on the 991 GT3 thread although many found the resultant exhaust too noisy for day to day driving.

Be careful of the noise police if you intend to track your cars lads.

As above - the maximum noise levels at tracks are being monitored far more rigorously than in the past.

My 987.1 on unmodified PSE measures 98db static with the valves open, so not a lot of room to manouver.
