My first detail
Discussion
Just had my first detail ever on a car completed, really impressed. I haven't got access to a laptop at the moment so can't do forum pic post, here are a couple of links though. It's had a Siramik coating which I believe is a type of ceramic protection.

Looks fantastic, bloody nice car you've got there...the curves on the Cayman are something special when you see one lit up like this.
The only thing that annoys me about them is the cheap stty looking Cayman S badge on the tailgate I swapped mine over to the 981's chrome PORSCHE and Cayman S lettering which look much better quality...not expensive either from the OPC.

Thanks guys. Controversial I know, but I prefer the curves and rear on the 987 to the 981 I'd be interested to see how the new badges look though. Really pleased with the car and the way it has turned out. A few stone chips on the bonnet still but I'll get through winter and then might think about having the bonnet resprayed.

Should be well protected then, Siramik seems to have great lasting quality.
Russ has done my last 4 cars, and I had no complaints at all. Apart from when he told me 1/3 of my TTRS had been painted.
New unit looks well too, a proper step forwards.
Funny you should mention paint, apparently mine has had some work done on most of the nearside. I can't see a thing, but apparently he can tell by the naked eye, let alone the paint depth gauge. It's a decent repair job though apparently, it was most likely have been caused by some tt keying it!Russ has done my last 4 cars, and I had no complaints at all. He could tell straight away on mine, painted both rear quarters and bumper. Unfortunately, I had not noticed at all until he pointed out the repair. On second glance it was obvious, I suppose that is what he is good at.
If I had the balls to look after a black car, that Is where a full detail shows the most outstanding results. I cannot be bothered with washing it twice a week though.
