Yeah, I was there about two weeks earlier, drooling over the GT4 while my turbo PDK was being serviced. Spec wise it seems to have everything including the lightweight kitchen sink

I bought my 997.2 turbo from Mark and dealt with him again on the GT4. Yes, excellent customer service as you state. I don't have experience of other OPCs but am certainly well looked after at Silverstone.

Seems the prices are coming down no?

Also, the dominance of OPC in the market is on the wane it seems?

Depends on the rest of the spec, the cage didn't add much expense.

Nope, about where they have always been for the independents. You don't get the 2 year manufacturers warranty when purchasing from an independent, though I'm sure it could be argued that Porsche would honour anyway.

Not at all, as many are selling now it seems. I know for sure that if I was buying a nearly new Porsche at this kind of value, I'd be buying from an OPC.

Thanks Ian. I thought CS was the second most expensive option, at £2,670. The 2 up for £88k are well spec'd

Anyway, glad to hear prices are still firm given I just bought one (although bought mine in Germany where the market is different).

Hardly.

The first one isn't even good spec never mind 'huge spec' as inaccurately described by the dealer.

Not clubsport, basic plastic dash with no extended leather nor stitching (standard platinum to seats), manual aircon and no chrono.

Got to love some of these independents and their hopeful hyperbolic descriptions.

I think there is a slight drop £3 to £4k, I base that on always being able to get £15k overs on list the last 6 months, that does not seem possible now.

Cars started at £30k overs 2 years a go for a few months, then that quickly dropped to £20k then £15k then prices went up a tad, now imo prices are a tiny bit lower. The really high speced cars cannot get the £15k now as they were £86/87k new so that's means >£100k cars now which you don't really see much off.

Higher miles drop the price of course, so any thing over 5k you see a few £k off and low spec cars never do well either.
Seems daft to buy a 100 mile car at £20k over when you can buy a 3k mile car at £13k over.

If you look at circa £75k cars list (good all round spec) , you should be able to get one at £90k at an OPC or £85k private, so £10k over for a low miles Private sale, that's the lowest it's been imo, nice time to buy as there is a bit of a choice.

Part ex to an OPC and you are prob down at £5k overs now on a good day if they have no stock.
