i wouldn't for the simple fact that my car was pennies under the limit for insuring. hahaha. didnt realise of course until afterwards.

Wish i specc'd the steering column in leather. Leather steering wheel and gear stick.

That's it!

I think the steering column is a bit over the top imo you can have to much stitching , there are a lot of pros for keeping a car under £75k as it does seem a Insurance cut off etc and the need for a expensive tracker also comes into play.

Agree with WJ on the leather and I always spec leather wheel and gearlever. Imo and as mentioned before the alcantara looks tat and wears prematurely....but nevertheless many do prefer it.....each to their own!

alcantara looks tat and wears prematurely, it doesn't though unless you have clammy hands of course !

I ran my BMW CSL and it had 30k miles on it, the wheel looked great. you cannot beat the feel of alcantara imo esp on a steering wheel where leather just gets hot and slippy/sticky in the summer.

Deletting alcantara is a bit of a school boy error imo esp as you are into resale and values lol.

FYI alcantara is pretty much indestructible.

It may look worn, but its just matted with dirt and simply needs cleaning properly.
What’s the best stuff to use?

I've just done 2500 miles around Europe at a fair lick in parts. Took driving gloves as normally get slightly clammy palms when driving quickly. I didn't find the need to wear them once in my leather steering wheel optioned GT4. Most others on the trip wore gloves some of whom have alcantara.

There is something about the leather that stops my hands from getting clammy. It's a geat no cost option.

Ridiculous situation.
Agreed. How long can the over list pricing hold up?

Surely that's about right - at any given time c.5% of cars will be on the market. Same with GT3s, RSs, and others

Buyers obviously have a choice but they still need to find a car that meets their colour/spec requirements.

I know if I was paying strong money, I'd be fussy on the spec- that's were the choice narrows somewhat.

Id honestly get one if they weren't priced overs, the jump from the GTS just doesn't justify it for me.

Keep the GTS, it's rarer. Much more so if you have a Spanish transmission wink

I have done just that - manual GTS to GT4. Believe me it's worth it...

To you maybe, but it wouldn't be to me. I'm a road-only user and wouldn't get £30k-plus more enjoyment out of it, if anything it would be worse for my uses smile
