Looks like a few are disappearing off the shelves now. Gmund advert now gone so assume sold. As is the dark blue one with ceramics at Porsche Wolverhampton (which I also had my eye on when looking for one).
more for sale than ever at OPC's though must be a record at 24 !

I agree on the miles the cars 2.5 years old don't over pay for a 2k miles car when 7k is still very low miles and loads cheaper.

people have gone a bit daft in the head stating 10k miles is now high miles on a 3 year old car ! I get sucking of teeth when I have asked for bids on my Spyder and it's only on 9k miles lol

maybe on a 991R or a GT2 RS miles count for a bit, but for these cars the market gone a bit miles stupid.

you're absolutely right - get it used - I've put on 700 miles in two months since I got mine, with a Euro trip to the alps planned later this year, I fully expect that I'll put on at least 5,000 miles, which is more than the first two years of (the previous) ownership and you know what..............I'm really enjoying driving it rather than never using it at all (which was the case with the 996 and 997 GT3s) -

^^^ Exactly.... And moreover.... Am I the only one who’d be a tad concerned at buying a car that had only done 500 miles in 2.5 years...?!? Never mind paying a £20k premium for it, I’d be even more concerned that the car would have almost “seized up”....!! These cars are designed to be “used”, not stuck stationary, rotting away in a barn somewhere....

used cars are working/happy cars for sure, a low mile car has rusted disks, rotten exhaust system and flat spot tyres lol

and you telling me 4 owner cars with 800 miles not have not been red lined !!!

then you have the issue if you add 3k miles the car drops £15k !!! all seems daft.

I decided there was no point waiting any longer to see what happens with prices. Just get one now. For what you get prices are very favourable for many of them right now and I think it is highly unlikely that we will lose our shirts. You'll find a way to buy one. Drive and enjoy. Life's too short.

Oh bks.... Having just boasted about how my “high-mileage” GT4 has done me proud for over 20k miles, this just popped up on the “driver info” screen....!! Can’t find the bloody manual anywhere, and I’m not finding anything obvious on Google....!! Any ideas, oh GT4 aficionados....??

problem is my 993 - I love it and it's a car for life really...not willing to trade for GT4, so will wait a bit longer till I can afford to add a (highish milleage) GT4. I was being facetious but the underlying point was that the market deeming 10,000+ as high milleage is insane when these cars are built to probably go to 300k miles if looked after well

Yup— did 130k in my 986 Boxster S..... Never missed a beat..... This mileage thing on the GT cars is beyond ridiculous... Spec, on the other hand, IS important IMO.... Each to their own.... wink

Picked up my GT4 last week and plan on it being my daily until later in the year when I'll get something cheap to see me through the winter.

Gave it a thrash back home last night from work but didn't really like seeing on 12mpg for the trip.

the engine In the GT4 and Spyder does have mpg issues lol I planned to daily mine but it's not possible due to that, 180 miles on a full tank is not fun twice a week.

I think the "High mileage GT cars lose thousands" is a bit of a misnomer personally....yes if a car is doing 10k miles a year vs 3k miles a year but if you do big mileages they're actually cheap cars to own in depreciation terms based on this 997 GT3. 150k miles and it was something like £20k to £25k cheaper than a low mileage car at the time which may have has what 30k miles on it ? £20k for 120k miles ? That's very, very cheap motoring (ignoring maintenance!)

https://www.goodwood.com/grrc/columnists/dan-trent...

If you maintain a car well/look after it there will always be someone who wants to buy a high mileage GT Porsche....it's the only way a lot of people can afford these fantastic cars.

I'm joining the GT4 club on Saturday, beyond excited! Moving up from a 981 Cayman S. Great story behind it as I was literally about to put a deposit down on the one in Bournemouth and then an email reply landed in my inbox.

Not one to believe in fate, but it happened with this! I'll let you remain anonymous unless you wish to say hello. But the previous owner is someone on here and I cannot thank you enough :-)

3 more sleeps!

And I have separation anxiety already.

Since the day I collected it two years ago I thought my GT4 was pretty much the best sports car ever and expected it to be a keeper right up until the day I took an unexpected call from my OPC telling me I got a GT3 allocation at the eleventh hour.

I also went from a 981 Cayman S to the GT4. Feel-good factor with the GT4 is off the chart compared to the S. You are going to LOVE it.

Big boots to fill, i have a feeling a manual, Guards GT3 will manage it though.

Enjoy.

Not using sport hence no third rad makes a big difference I find.
